So many things were great: the breakfast food, comfortable bed and cute goats with bells around their necks. But the Barn needs many updates. The space needs editing. Their is no place to set anything down. With the two sunken areas, it's challenging to move around. There was a lovely view outside our window, which I took advantage of since...

We have been staying at Palo Alto for years. It's absolutely the best B&B to stay while in Fredericksburg. We've brought our family as well as just a couples retreat. Always clean and everything you need for your stay is there. The breakfast provided is delicious and so different than most places. Thank You Carter Gary &a Terry E

My wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary in Fredericksberg, staying at Palo Alto Creek Farm, in The Barn. At the end of the day when you are ready to escape the crowds and hustle and bustle of tourists in town, it is more than worth the short trip out to the solitude and peace of the farm. Sit, relax...

It is with selfish hesitation that I write this review. I don't want to share my new great Hide Away. Great place to celebrate our 4th anniversary. Loved the porch! My wife didn't want to leave. Started and ended each day out there relaxing. Saw deer every evening. Good food is in the room. Just a few miles outside of...

My husband and I stayed in the Barn. The pictures from their website were very accurate! We had a wonderful time. Breakfast was tasty, coffee was amazing, the property was lovely (we got to pet donkeys!), and the jacuzzi was nice. Palo Alto was a wonderful way to spend some quality time outside of the city.

This stay at the Barn was a revisit for our 30th wedding anniversary, and was still as peaceful and romantic as ever! The jacuzzi was still a favorite feature, and the morning coffee was wonderful, especially the grind-fresh flavored beans! I have a severe gluten-intolerance and always travel with breakfast food, expecting to find little I can eat, but the...

Beautiful & peaceful place. Very charming. The owners were so kind. Breakfast included!! They had stocked our frig with fruit, juices, milk, muffins and breakfast casseroles for a delicious morning meal. The cabin was clean & comfortable. It was so relaxing. We saw deer nightly while sitting on the patio. It about a 6-8 minute car ride to Main St....

We stayed in the Log Cabin and were very happy. I loved sitting on the porch swing on the back porch with my coffee each morning. We are so glad that you found your stay in The Log Cabin to be an enjoyable experience. The Log Cabin was the first home built on this property when the Itz family settled here in 1854. The hideaway was picked as it was smaller and less expensive. Just two of us didnt need the bigger places here. We did a two night stay and had no problems.
