The Round House was very remote, very quiet, very scenic. Extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-equipped accommodations. Very clean and well-maintained. The nighttime sky is breathtaking. No traces of humanity visible from the top of our hill. Miles of hiking paths among the hills around the house. Bring food, drinks, and everything you need because it's about 30 minutes to the...

We had 3 adults looking to re-connect with their West Texas roots. We spend a wonderful weekend at the Round House, did the Eldorado woolen mill museum tour (very interesting!) and Sonora Caverns (dazzling). We mostly enjoyed the tranquility, solitude and endless skies at the XBar Ranch's Round House. The RH is completely equipped with everything you need, very well...

We found this place by accident on our way to Arizona and what a blessing it was! When I called, Stan was super nice, easily giving details about our stay and giving directions. Away from crowds, and so much better than a cookie cutter hotel room, we LOVED the entire experience. Beautiful, so peaceful and quiet in the midst of...

My son and I stayed a couple of nights while we were in the area to visit the Caverns of Sonora and to enjoy doing a little astronomy in the wonderfully dark skies. We were not disappointed! The X Bar Ranch is a beautiful place! The facilities were clean and in good repair. The cabin and lodge were comfortable. We...

We were so blessed to find this place! We stayed at the Round House for two nights! It was very hard to leave! It was so peaceful and humbling. It was like it was our own place. This round house was fully loaded with spices and ice machine and pots pans and dishes. There were even trash bags. 3 twin...

This was our second time to stay at the ranch, and we enjoyed it again. We went for the Perseid meteor shower, and counted over 100 meteors thanks to the dark skies at the ranch. We enjoyed the quiet outside, and the comfort of the lodge. We grilled outside for dinner and used the well supplied kitchen to make great...

We had a wonderful first time experience staying at the round house. Directions getting to the house were perfect! The views and solitude are what sold us! The house is very well stocked with utensils and there is a large BBQ pit outside. We plan on returning soon!

When we went to the ranch, we have found the key, the welcome letter, and the clear detailed instructions on the kitchen table. We had the whole ranch for our self for our whole stay. Only beatiful nature around. We cooked the dinner from the food that we gratifully found in the fridge, and eat it outside, admiring the sunset....

We spent Memorial Day weekend there and had a very relaxing weekend. We wished the skies were clear since it would be a great place for observing the night sky. My husband loves to do some astrophotography, but there were just too many clouds. Perhaps next time.

Spent a Sunday and Monday at X bar Ranch and had the place to ourselves. The skies were extremely dark and clear. Set up my astrophotography equipment right behind the cabin and got some great shots. The lodge was well apportioned with everything a body needs to prepare meals and relax. Clean, quiet, and tranquil. What more could you ask...
