Stayed at the Belmont because it looked like a cute, unusual renovated motel and they have a well known restaurant. Instead of being cute and interesting it felt poorly and cheaply renovated, with an unwelcoming and unappealing lobby, a hallway to the room that felt institutional and a room that felt old and a bit smelly. The carpet was thin...

DO NOT stay in rooms 39 and 40 unless you are close family. They have a communicating door and you can hear every sound, word and toilet flush. Also room 41 is above and you hear every foot step. All other rooms are arranged so sound should be no problem. This is a hip, bohemian type of place with very...

From the filthy indoor/outdoor carpet, the beat up furniture and the old/nasty bathrooms, this place is so run down. I get the concept of throwback, but there's a way to do it in a fresh modern sense. How about investing some money into the place, owners? It's dark and dingy, and I have felt depressed in my room both times...

We stayed in the Terrace Suite along with an adjoining room for a friend's birthday and had a "girl's night in". We had a wonderful time. The hot tub was perfect and the skyline view was remarkable. Great service and a fun bar! We definitely plan on coming back!

This place is so eh. I wanted very badly to like it, but it fell really short of expectations. I understand the old school motel vibe, but would have appreciated a cleaner bathroom and better lighting in the room. Seriously, just a few cosmetic updates would make this place great! The bed was semi-comfortable, but room felt dark and dated....

My wife and I booked our Honeymoon night at the Belmont Hotel before flying out to Mexico the following day. We. Loved. Our. Stay. We chose to go with a Suite because we wanted a soaking tub and a little extra room to have breakfast, etc. The concierge offered up some simple but spot on suggestions to make the stay...

We stayed with a huge group here on a business trip. This hotel was very art deco in style and reminiscent of a classic period brought back to life. You could feel the hub that was here centuries ago. They have done a fabulous job restoring this place. We spent time in the pool, which has a fabulous view overlooking...

We booked a room here based on the reviews. We had hoped this would be yet another jewel in Texas' crown of retro hotels along with the Havana in San Antonio, San Jose in Austin, and the Thunderbird and El Cosmico in Marfa. Our hopes were not met, and now I write this review from a room that smells of...

The Belmont used to be a TravelLodge, and it laid vacant for several years. When it was refurbished as the Belmont, the style chosen was deco-eclectic. The lobby and bar areas are visually very nice. They have great style and an artistic feel. There's also a nice covered patio to sit and check out the view of downtown Dallas. Sweet....

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here. Note that if you're accustomed to luxury accommodations, this might not be the best fit (rooms are large and charmingly decorated but they are dated and a bit worn - there aren't plugs/chargers in the lamps or fancy bathroom fixtures). Vintage kitsch and 50's art deco lovers will be enthralled...
