From the first glance it seems as some private horse farm but when you step into the main building you find yourself in charming family house which has 14 rooms, main hall, kitchen and bar with terrace. Owned and runned by finnish couple which made a lots of effort in order to save that place from ruin. They can tell you lots of interesting stories about manor and their adventures which they had before opening that place. All this creates an amazing background for that property and gives you a feeling that you experiening something more that just a weekend stay in country side. You become a part of history. If you are looking for city standard stay with big comfy rooms, abundance at breakfast, spa and stuff like that then probably you are looking at the wrong place. But if you would like to relax and unplug yourself from daily routine by listening birds and enjoing the nature views you won't be dissapointed. Owners do their best in order to make your stay enjoyable. They clean your room, make a breakfast for you and help you with sauna if you need one. You can even swim in pond after sauna and relax at private area. It is homestay in country side at its best for those who know how to appreciate it.…
What a super surprise! Decided to spend a few days in Eastern Estonia to unwind and see the coast. This place was relaxing, full of history and the staff really polite. We had a twin bed room and price / quality ratio on par. Great breakfast.
About 2 hour drive East from Tallinn(Narva direction) is Ontika. This area is known because of Valaste Waterfall and about 3km from there is Ontika Manor. Owner Kalle Palander is World Champion in Alpine Skiing and he runs this place with his wife. Both are real friendly and made us feel welcomed right from the start. They have lots of animals from dogs to horses and bunnys, so great place for kids too. Manor itself is under construction, but you can still visit there and see nice Art Exhibition and then Kalle's trophies and medals and some other memorabilia too. Two storey B & B building is beautifully renovated, with bar, restaurant/café and nice terrace overlooking large property. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with super comfy bed. Rooms are reasonably priced, they cook you some dinner if you want and for 8€, you get delicious breakfast too. Overall great visit and definitely worth of visit.…
Lovely place! Hosts are great, we felt very welcomed. Kids loved animals; cats, horses, dogs, bunnys... Yard is beautiful and patios comfy. Bar was open and dinner served. We had deluxe room with sofa bed. Just enough room for us. There is no tv in the room, but who will needs those in the place like this? Room was clean and well decorated. Masterbed was nice and comfy, sofabed also. Breakfast was simple but there was all we needed, it is very well made homemade breakfast. We really enjoyd staying in this B&B. There is a couple of sights nearby, just ask advices from the hosts.
Cosy and clean rooms. Maybe wort for visiting one night when you are "around" but not a Place where you would go only for visiting this place. Of course it is a big advantage if the owners are there. Worth visiting
We stayed three nights in the B&B in a large second floor room. The location is quite isolated in the country side. The high cliff by the sea is the only attraction in the area. The breakfast was not included and had to be paid separately but was however very good. The room was large but the walls and doors are very thin and you can hear every sound from other rooms. It also seemed that the nice and young personnel had to work for very long hours and would perhaps need a little rest at some point.
We spent here 2 nights with family (2 children). Stay was very comfortable and nice. Room was big, clean and comfy. Breakfast was expensive but ok. Surroundings nice although this part of Estomnia is quite run down. There was nice wildlife (2 Storks) and domestic animals (Bunnies, dogs, cat and 2 ponys) also. Walls are a bit thin though. Wifi was free but quite bad reception anywhere else than reception
Such a beautiful environment in middle of country side, rooms had an unique decoration and young summer trainees did their best in customer service! Beds were very comfortable and Timo, who was also working in the kitchen, was very careful with my gluten-free diet and prepaid me an excellent breakfast! Sensitive sleepers might want to use earplugs but I slept like a baby without them. We had an opportunity to visit the old manor house too which was great. My only worry was that the young trainees seemed to work from early morning till late night and I wonder do they have any spare time for themselves! I also would groom the two beautiful collies of the manor to make them feel a little better. Anyway the pets made the manor more alive and I really enjoyed their company! Leaflets in the rooms about the history of such an unique place would accomplish this an excellent b&b concept. Definately worth of visiting. Perfect for short stay. Just be aware that this b&b doesn't serve any dinner. And maybe a one more staff member would give enough spare time for the trainees as well. Ps. Janitor of the manor was also very kind and showed few pets of the manor for us! …
We stayed at Otika Manor B&B for one night. The room was quite large, we had 2 adults and 1 child. Good beeds. The walls and doors were thin - you could hear people chatting in the bar, using toilets and walking. Not good if you have problems sleeping. The B&B was nicely decorated and a lovely place, outside beautiful rosegarden. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. At the time of our visit, there were no horses at the paddock and the place was run by 2 summer trainees. I felt the place was missing a "soul".
This B&B and its surroundings are very idyllic. Rooms are nice, beds especially. The owner couple and the staff is very friendly and the breakfest is good however the location is not the best. In addition the shower pressure was quite low.
