We did not have any issues finding Wakefield Farms, even utilizing Googlemaps without fail. The gate was opened so we drove straight in on the dirt and grass driveway and pulled up to the location. We called as we were not sure where to park, and Susan gave us finalized directions. There were 3 buildings surrounding a nice sized pool...

My wife and I stayed in the Farmhouse for our first wedding anniversary and we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate it. The location is outside Chappell Hill on a working farm. And yet, as soon as we opened the door my wife said "how quaint". The furnishings are luxurious and everything you can think of is...

The farm is a lovely setting, well placed on a hill that provides a great view. The pool is large and well maintained. The various buildings, which range from cottages to houses to an old schoolhouse are historic, interesting and well restored. It's about thirty minutes from Round Top and Winedale, making it a great place to stay if you...

I have just had the most wonderful, relaxing, rejuvenating two day vacation in a long time. The cottage at Wakefield Farms was cozy, comfortable, clean, decorated adorably with many extra touches with guest comfort in mind. The housekeeper, Caroline, showed me the accommodations to allow me to choose my preference (I stayed mid-week so had the luxury of options). She...

This place is terrific! The few complaints on here could not be more incorrect from the experience we had. Private, luxurious, beautiful, detailed, with everything you could need. The innkeeper offered any assistance when we called at the gate to get the code to enter the property, but we never saw her or any of the other guests. The property...

My husband and I were recently married in Houston and reserved the Master Suite at WF the first night on our honeymoon. The temperature had dropped drastically after our wedding and we arrived to Wakefield Farms with a temperature in the 30's. Much to our surprise, we had a beautiful lCE COLD suite waiting for us. My husband phoned Susan...

On the occasion there is a problem with our accommodations we are distressed at our guests discomfort. In addition, we move into problem solving mode and do whatever is in our power to do to make our guests comfortable. On this occasion/Sunday, March 2, 2014, when going into problem solving mode when informed the suite was cold, we asked our...

My husband and I enjoyed a nice and peaceful stay at Wakefield Farms. The Farmhouse for 2 was lovely, clean and very comfortable and I thought the decor was very pretty. One reason we chose Wakefield Farms was because it had a pool and it was perfect! Also enjoyed the nice comfortable patio furniture since we spent the whole afternoon...

I booked and prepaid for the Private Farmhouse after speaking directly with Susan Borck, the owner/innkeeper, about the number of people in our party (6 one night and 7 the second night). The day before we were to arrive, I emailed Susan to confirm this information and she said that I never told her about the 7th person in our...

We are grateful for all reviews we receive. And on the rare occasion the review is negative, we work very hard to learn from the review. As in most businesses, we have a reservation policy which is published and is designed to assist all our guests with their comfort and safety while allowing us to remain a viable business. Our...

Enjoyed a nice weekend at Wakefield Farm. Stayed in the Saltbox which was very comfortable. Susan the innkeeper was very friendly and showed us the other houses which were also well decorated and very charming. She also shared some fun stories about the goats, sheep, miniature horses and dogs that are on the farm. Nice place to relax for a...

19th Anniversary weekend get away. We wanted a nice quiet place to get away and relax and we got it. Very peaceful accommodations. Not "over decorated". The jacuzzi is spacious and just what we needed. We love the "kitchen in a closet" with microwave, sink, coffee maker, fridge and dishes. Too cute and efficient. Too cool for the pool, but...

“All the cottages were nice and they all had jucuzzi's. The Farmhouse for 2 and the Schoolhouse Cottage were alittle more roomier and had a covered porch to sit on, but the Private Cottage had a large jucuzzi for 2.”
