Two nights stay in friendly and interesting pub with only a few rooms. German influence provided excellent variations in the menu and beer. Fronting the main road car parking is at the rear. Will go back

We had two nights in a spotlessly clean room with comfortable bed and good facilities. The German menu made for an interesting and different range of food and we were lucky enough to enjoy some good live music. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order but we were surprised that there was no cereals or fresh fruit on offer. Overall...

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us paying just £89.00 for two nights B&B and a free bottle of wine, staying in a heated ensuite room. The reason we do not have cereal and fresh fruit on the Groupon breakfast menu is because you did not pay the full price of £178.00. If you had paid the...

Stayed at the hotel with groupon voucher. Excellent room, comfy beds clean tidy. no.2 fab location for walks. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, anything you need they will try to help. The food was the best, I choose off the German menu and it was delicious. Husband ate from the English steak pie! We had game and black...

Just spent two nights here. Amazing value for money . Can't believe past comments about absence of biscuits , toiletries etc. This is not a boutique hotel but a country pub offering excellent facilities at ridiculously cheap rates. Rooms spotlessly clean with large, very comfortable bed and quality bedding. Hospitality tray with tea, coffee etc. Bathroom quite basic but with...

Excellent facilities, clean and comfortable. The menu choice is great and the food delicious. We had dinner bed and breakfast over a two night mid week stay. The area is beautiful and plenty to do and see. Would recommend this Inn. Friendly staff.

We've driven past hundreds of times, but until yesterday not been in form over a decade. A good find, and we'll be back. The speciality of the house is authentic German cuisine, and it really works. We were in the middle of a ten mile walk and ready for a good feed, and The Buck delivered. Nice wiener schnitzel with...

The Buck Inn was part of a Groupon deal and my husband and I went for two nights. The situation is beautiful, the hotel was all right, the staff were pleasant and helpful, but our bedroom was very disappointing - room 6- was situated at the very rear of the hotel in an annex. The bed was comfortable and the...

Firstly I would like to comment on the hot water and radiator situation. The hot water does run hot it just takes a few minutes of waiting for it to come through, you had hot water for both the nights you stayed with us. The towel radiator also works, you just have to switch it on. I personally checked both...

Six family members enjoyed a really nice Saturday lunch at this friendly pub, situated on the Stokesley to Helmsley road on the North Yorkshire moors. It's a beautiful spot; very scenic.Interesting menu, including German dishes, which is a bit different. Generous portions too. The staff were lovely as were the locals.. Attentive but not overbearing. Not expensive either.

Shared a delightful afternoon tea with three friends (one gluten free). Excellent service, excellent food and overall a fantastic afternoon. The gluten free tea was just as good as the normal afternoon tea and all home made:-). Highly recommended and great value for money. Thank you

The Buck Inn is a 'different experience' especially when it comes to dining. The German chef/owner Wolfgang conjurers up some wonderful food and the menu is a reflection of both British and German cuisine. If you are not adventurous then you will be able to pick the likes of Lasagne, Fish & Chips, Steak & Mushroom Pie, but the German...
