What a lovely proper pub ,great food (German and locally sourced)lovely breakfast, extremely comfy bed,friendly people and great staff. Loved the dogs,it felt very warm and welcoming. Great for walkers!Would definitely come back if only to have a chat with Eric. Thankyou!

Went New Year's Eve for a meal with friends the food was out of this world very tasty .portions a bit small could do with more veg on the side but really nice. Would go again. Really nice staff very friendly and nice clean pub.

The Buck Inn is a very sweet and charming pub and accomodation located in the rolling green hills of Chop Gate, a small, pretty village in the north of England. I enjoyed the most delicious four course Christmas lunch including soup starter and carvery main, accompanied by a tasty glass of prosecco. The dinning room was warm and inviting beautifully...

We stayed at the Buck inn for 2 nights for my boyfriends birthday on the 18th November, the owners and all staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the location is excellent (once we found it) we travelled up from Wigan so it was quite a treck but definitely worth it, beautiful views and scenery! Comfortable room with 2 single beds. Wifi is hit and miss in room. Food was terrific. Toiletries supplied. Great outdoor area out the back as well as some tables out front. Owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We just got back from a great night away here, when arrived was greeted by Harrison behind the bar who showed us to our lovely cosy room and can definitely agree was comfy beds. He let us have a taste of all the german beers they sell, 7 if i remember as Excellent beers and my husband worked his way...

Our family decided to stop here for dinner on the way to whitby on a night travelling from Sheffield The inn is absolutely wonderful, the staff are friendly and polite, and the food is stunning we are already planning to visit again and camp.so we can spend the night here
