We would be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Belize, and after much research decided on HVI. First we liked the fact that they had their own airstrip, just 15 min from the property! We were greeted that day and every day after that by Elmer, who makes sure your entire trip is planned. Our 1 bedroom cabin was cozy...

I choose this hotel for its remoteness and many walking trails and have to say that it is an absolute 5-star property with service just as good as any Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons in the states. The rooms and property were amazingly well-kept, with beautiful views and amazing waterfall settings to hike to. Every person working there was accommodating, meaning...

After the homeliness and relaxed atmosphere of Pooks Hill, our previous stop on our Belize tour, My girlfriend and I were initially a little culture-shocked at the formal luxury atmosphere on arrival at our next destination – Hidden Valley Inn! We were welcomed by Elmer, the concierge, who showed us around the Lounge, Library, Cocktail bar, restaurant, pool, Jacuzzi, etc,...

Lovely lodge, luxurious separate cabins with gorgeous hardwood appointments. Gourmet meals in the lodge mansion, many miles of great trails on 8000 acre property, with huge waterfalls and rare, endangered species of raptors and owls. On the very rough road to Caracol, largest (150,000 inhabitants after they conquered Tikal) and most recently discovered Mayan city. On day we visited, only...

Spent 3 nights at the Inn. Were greeted at the airport by a friendly team and welcomed graciously at the inn by Elmer and his staff. We shared the resort with only one other couple and enjoyed the property immensly while we hiked to the Butterfly Falls and the Secret Pools. A very romatic, quiet and beautiful natural reserve! The only...

I have to start by saying my most favorite part of the stay- I loved how you could go from pine forest to wet jungle in a 30 second descent during the hikes! The paths and waterfalls are lovingly maintained, this is the gem of hidden valley. I think it pays to know some history of the region, about the...

HVI recently hosted our wedding for 18 guests. We did all of our planning through e-mail sight unseen. It was quite the leap of faith, and I don't think we would have felt comfortable doing it with a lesser staff. They were simply amazing - super friendly and completely competent. This came through immediately from their first e-mail reply. The...

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. We took several hikes on the property to private waterfalls. You really need a couple of days to explore this! The food is amazing at the Inn - after 3 trips to Belize I can say this is the highest quality food I had in the country!

We stayed at Hidden Valley Inn for a week and it was one of the most wonderful places we've stayed. The people there are very kind and friendly. The food was a little pricey but delicious. It was the closest I have ever felt to staying at family or friend's house when actually at a hotel. The property is beautiful...
