We had the pleasure of staying at the Mayan Dude Ranch for Spring Break. Our kids are 15, 13, and 9. What's better than being woken up with coffee and juice and taking a hayride to a cowboy breakfast with 100's of deer (Oh! And three sheep.) following you? We loved our 2 horseback rides a day, the wild peacocks,...

Got talked into staying at the ranch - didn't think it was me - but to my surprise I really enjoyed it. It was cold and damp when we visited, but that seemed to add to the occasion, getting a feel for life in the country. The place was so friendly and you were not pressurised into activities. Loved the...

We know you have many options for your vacation, and we are so pleased the ranch exceeded your expectations. As you mentioned, the Cowboy Breakfast cookout is a favorite among our guests. We just returned from the Mayan during our spring break. It was everything we expected in a dude ranch minus the bad weather which could not be helped!! Our cabin was comfy and quaint with a sitting area between two bedrooms that had a a woodburning fireplace (we took full advantage with the cold rainy weather and snuggled by the...

I booked a stay at the Ranch at the request of a friend who was celebrating his birthday. We arrived at the ranch on a Saturday with our party of 25 including my wife and I, and our 2 boys (7 and 13). Check-in was fast and easy even though we all showed up at the same time. They worked...

This was my 3rd visit to the Mayan Ranch. Once when I was 7 years old, again when I was 30 years old and again now being 40 something! The Mayan is one of the best places that reminds me of being a kid! Just good ole fashioned fun, getting outside and feeling the sun in your face. Looking up...

Jen, Thank you for sharing your positive review of your recent stay at the ranch. After all of these years, it was wonderful to be able to reconnect with you and your family. We feel honored that you wanted to bring your children to experience the ranch just as you did as a girl. Your return is a testament to...

We arrived with our 8 yr old daughter on Friday and soon after were all on a horse ride crossing through the beautiful grounds on the ranch, even spotting deer in the brush nearby. My daughter was in heaven from then on. There is a petting area with donkeys and goats. In the morning we spotted just outside our window...

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay at the Mayan, and that you plan to be back soon. Over half of our guests are repeat guests; some have been coming for over thirty years. We believe the love that our guests have for the ranch and their desire to come back over decades speaks volumes...

Our family of ten just returned from staying 4 nights at the Dude Ranch. We had two grandparents, 4 parents, and 4 grandchildren aged (8 to 10 years of age). The food was great, but a bit too filling as our jeans got tighter by the end of our stay. We had just been to the San Antonio stock show...

We spent two nights here and had a great time. The kids loved it and enjoyed all the activities. Food was good and it was a very good stay. Hot coffee on permanent supply, pool table and games available. We are very timid riders but were soon comfortable on horseback. It was too cold for the pool when we were...

We travelled from Dallas and spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Ranch and that was our mistake.......should have stayed longer! The people here are so friendly, food excellent and the activities were just such fun. I loved the outdoor breakfast but being English I don't suppose I'll ever understand "grits". In one day we: went fishing, horse riding,...

Thank you so much for sharing your positive review about your recent stay at the ranch. We are so pleased you felt at home at the ranch and wished you could have stayed longer. I have to qualify my four stars. We were looking for a place to host our foreign executives, so we stayed here to check out the amenities. Fun? Yes! Upscale? Nope.
