Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Felt the property was lovely overall and that the 3 nights were just enough time for us. Shared a cottage with my daughter which had some details needing addressed especially at such a high price point paid. Make-up mirror broken (but replaced), clock battery dead, throw blanket soiled, sparse bath salts for 2 females and no makeup wipes. The meals were amazing throughout the property but we particularly enjoyed The Dogwood. The staff well-trained and the food was outstanding. Also felt the environment nicer and more “polished” than The Barn. The Barn was good but staff less polished and “heavy footed” walking in this larger space was felt when seated at the tables. Lighting was also darker. Breakfast and lunch also did not disappoint. The spa was enjoyed but you do pay handsomely for extras. An 80 min massage service adds up to $421 with all fees at check-out. It was a nice one-time visit for us.

Enjoyed our time at blackberry farms . The property is beautiful and serene when you truly need a get away . The staff are very nice and accommodating and make effort to know your name . The room was quiet and stocked with coffee tea and snacks . My friends had a cottage and also had fridge drinks and small selection of alcohol Spa services were amazing .i had pat for a facial and she had greater than 20 years of experience. The property is hilly and not always an easy walk to the different buildings .. one can rent a golf cart or call for rides as needed The price though is pretty steep and there is a service charge, taxes and fees which contribute to about 30 % more so be prepared at check out. While it is nice that they don’t expect gratuity since that is part of fees it would be nice to be able to give extra to staff who, made an impact in their service . Children are welcome on property but they do place families in a separate dining room in the dogwood if that is important in your trip planning Sadly we did have our trip disrupted by another guest who was rude and spewing foul language but understand that was out of the property’s control .

Ours was a business and couples retreat. It was exceptional on many levels. Would highly recommend for a similar experience. Nothing to think about, everything was taken care of without exception. Recommend the farm tour. Above my expectations.

We had such an amazing time at the BlackBerry Farms. From the time we stepped into the property we were treated with smiles and like family. We loved our stay at the main house, it was so convenient to just walk down to the Dogwood for breakfast and lunch. The bar is beautiful and the drinks are awesome. I had a mezcal based drink with was amazing. Sitting outside with the view of the grounds and mountains brings one such peace and joy. The grounds are beautiful and we walked all over. The boat house and the Yallerhammer were so quaint. Wished we gad more time there and would have loved a quiet lunch at the Yallerhaller. All you can hear are the birds chirping and the stream flowing. The dinner at the Barn was beautiful orchestrated, from the time you step out of the property Lexus that drives you there to the person greeting you and till the time you leave. It flows like music. The staff is so friendly and enthusiastic. The food was amazing too! We did a yoga session at the well house and had massages too. I love both those experiences. Even though it’s expensive, I can totally see why people go back. Like another visitor said- for them there isn’t any “No” in the dictionary and everyone goes out of the way to make the experience there a memorable one! We toured the Blackberry Mountain also, with the views of snow capped smoky mountains from there, can’t wait to stay there sometime soon too!

This is such an incredibly special place ! One of my very favorite places on the planet! Stunningly beautiful, fabulous food, wonderful service - very attentive , accommodating but relaxed. We took my 26 year old son and his girlfriend for Christmas and my siblings last week - everyone shares our love of BBF!!! We have been visiting for years - this was our 29th trip and I already can’t wait for our 30th in August! Haha! I’m clearly a Blackberry addict!!!

This was our 4th visit to Blackberry Farm and probably our best. The food is always a highlight and was at an even higher standard than before, and that includes all three meals. The Farmstead Tour was outstanding, we have done it twice but the couple we were with had never been to Blackberry so we decided to do again and have to say that every guide puts their own spin on the tour and made it as enjoyable as the first time. We did a group wine tasting with Brad who is a fairly new Sommelier at Blackberry but he was terrific leading the group. We also did a guided off premises hike with Alex who was an engaging and experienced guide. This time we stayed in the Carriage House Suites, which I would highly recommend but next time I would be explicit that I prefer upstairs and not a handicapped room. To be clear, the room was fine, and the view was amazing, but I would make that request next time. Several here have commented negatively about the cost and the service charge and I'd be crazy not to agree it is beyond expensive. That said, I am not sure where else someone can get the full experience offered at Blackberry Farm, the setting, the hiking, the food, wine and service, so i am not sure what to compare the cost to. It's almost like the adage that if you have to ask what it costs, you shouldn't be there, as trying to justify the expense would just frustrate. So I guess I would conclude that if you are willing to splurge for a special get away, Blackberry Farm (and Mountain) is highly recommended.

I’ve stayed at The Farm and The Mountain multiple times over the years…I’m sad to say, the service has been going downhill quickly. What makes these destinations so incredible is the effort the team at Blackberry puts forth to ensure the guests have an incredible experience. I showed this evening, CHRISTMAS EVE, with my spouse and my dog (who I’ve traveled with several times and is a registered service animal). We were literally TURNED AWAY at the checkin and not only that, the GM was extremely disrespectful, not a bit empathetic and seemed almost happy about ruining our Christmas plans. This is extremely disappointing and uncalled for. We have treated many guests to Blackberry and I’ve got to say, I don’t think I’ll be able to overcome what just happened. Very sad.

Ridiculously expensive for the experience you receive. Yes, the staff is attentive and gracious. Yes, the food is a culinary delight and included in the price of the stay. But that in itself is not worth the expense of the stay. We stayed in an Estate King Room with no view, it was ok but certainly nothing extraordinary for the price and after the room tax + the daily service charge of $259 per night, the end experience is just not anything worth what you pay. You could stay at the Ritz Paris for less than this place. Definitely a one and done for us.

We went to both Blackberry Farm (February 2021) and Blackberry Mountain (April 2022). Both are amazing. Blackberry Farm is more focused on culinary experiences with lots of activities like hiking, and of course, amazing facilities and cabins (we stayed in Leather Britches). Blackberry Mountain was more focused on wellness and activities. We stayed in the Treehouse and enjoyed activities each morning like yoga, HIIT classes and stretching. The food at both places are great, the service is great, and the rooms are so memorable and luxurious.

well worth the money. The staff spoiled us every day and couldn't do enough for us. The meals were delicious and the free snacks and chocolates equally so. The golf cart to get around was a welcomed surprise and came in handy exploring the grounds.
