We were entranced the moment we entered Spruce Cabin. The room was spacious with a great walk-in closet. Plenty of lighting and the bathroom had a huge tub/shower. The king size bed was so comfortable, in fact, I found it hard to leave in the morning, wishing for a storm to come around and snow us in. Although Spruce cabin...

I have visited Dancing Bear Lodge on 2 occasions - once with my husband and once for business. I enjoyed both experiences tremendously. It is a lovely property with well-kept cabins and lots of nice little touches that seem home-like.

My husband and I thought that our stay at this lodge, specifically the LeConte cabin, was very peaceful. I had emailed the Director of Sales with a couple of minor issues, and she told me that this cabin is slated for renovations during the holiday season. The interior was cozy, with its fire place and comfortable furniture; the exterior was...

I found Dancing Bear Lodge about a year and a half ago when searching for lodging in that area and discovered one of our favorite getaways to date. We have stayed at the property now about six times, and have had nothing but outstanding and memorable experiences. The cabins are luxurious, clean, and private. I was pleased that our cabin...

Dancing Bear (the cabin we rented) needs up-dated and remodeling. Everything is out dated/old, the bath room really needs work, broken tiles, you are disappointed when you walk in, poor lighting through out. We paid for a three night stay but only stayed two. We dined in the new restaurant, the food was good. Dancing Bear could be very nice...

Dancing Bear is a hidden gem tucked in the woods of Townsend. It is a quiet, tranquil place that is close to everything but yet it gives you a chance to soak your worries away in the hot tub and have an amazing 5 star dinner at the bistro.

LOVED our villa. We rented both sides and it was very very cozy and comfortable. The fireplace was ready to go just as promised - our fridge was stock for our continental breakfast. AND much appreciated - homemade granola was the best we ever had. Our meal in the Appalachian Bistro was equally cozy and delicious. Our server was amazing....

Townsend bills itself as the quiet entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The Dancing Bear Inn is well back from the highway, nestled up a hill. Lots of good tree cover, cabins and some trails. Large commercial centre and resto at the bottom of the hill, and an upscale resto up the hill. Free bike rentals! Excellent for...

We stayed in a deluxe cabin with sofa. We arrived and the door was open and wine I had shipped was on the wetbar. The fireplace was ready and all we did was light a match and had a beautiful fire. The hotub was ready to go and every attention to detail was done. Overall, a very wonderful experience.

“We stayed in the Metcalf Bottoms cabin. We like the fact that the porch was completely open, didn't have the privacy wall around the hot tub. Had a better view than some of the other cabins and we didn't plan on using the hot tub so the privacy wall wasn't needed. Loved the porch swing also.”
