Plus side: comfortable bed. They promised WIFI but it's only at the lobby, not the rooms. No wake up calls. No emergency after hour service. (My business partner's toilet broke.) The wall plugs lacked appropriate covers and locations. Sometimes the room got cleaned or not... Coffee not replenished. You have to move the coffee tray to another location to find...

This may not be the place for some people who are "chained" to their Internet or those who expect a complimentary breakfast because the Talley Ho Inn does not offer these things but if you are looking for a clean, quiet and friendly place to stay this is the place! We had stayed at a hotel chain the night before...

We stay at the Talley Ho Inn every time we visit the Gatlinburg area. We like staying in Townsend, because its very pretty and quiet! Also, being that we are a family of five, with three growing boys, it's affordable option for us. We like to save our money up for the attractions and dining. The rooms are very clean....

I stayed there the last week of October for the first time. I was originally booked for 3 nights but was able to stay a 4th night. The room was large and spotless, the queen size bed extremely comfortable (particularly important for someone with back problems), extremely quiet and the view from the balcony was lovely. The gentleman at the...

Came to Townsend, to see and photograph the Smoky Mountains. The Inn was recommended by our guide. On the outside, the Inn looked inviting, but once inside the rooms it was not. Very outdated. There was no internet use in the rooms, had to go to the lobby to get it. The mattress was worn out, and was leaning to...

I was just there again for the 2nd time in 4 years and again, despite my questioning at the time of making my reservations the internet did not work on any of my 3 devices for 4 days. Others had problems too and I had this very same experience 4 years ago. Fool me twice and I won't stay there...

Nice little Inn close to Cades Cove and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Older Inn but kept nice. Friendly staff. closets place for visiting Cades Cove and only a 30 minute drive. Small town atmosphere.

We stayed in Townsend because the location is good for visiting Cades Cove and the Tremont area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, but we found the Talley Ho Inn to be a disappointment. Townsend itself is rather overpriced, so hotels are more expensive than, say, Cherokee or Brevard. First off, we stayed in one of the drive-up-to-the-door rooms...

We stayed in one of the "original eight" rooms. These are the economy rooms but had a very charming appeal. We needed a room that was close to the Nat'l Park for some motorcycle riding. The room had the basics and was clean. Please note that these rooms do not have a coffee maker or hair dryer. We ate a...
