Took our motorcycle group to Backbone Rock and it was very cool. Sits along the river and riding through the rock was really neat. Worth you effort to drive or ride up this way if you are along Hwy 421. Nice stop for anyone coming...More

Spent 3 nights at a tent site directly on South Holston Lake. The site was spacious and very close to the water. Mostly wooded campsite. The shower house was too far to walk from our campsite but there were bathrooms with flushing toilets and sinks...More

This is a rec area within the Cherokee National forest. It's beautiul, had a small river that runs by it, picnic tables and restrooms. There is a wonderful hiking trail up Backbone rock
