We stayed here due to the reviews and glad we did! It was the perfect place to relax after taking in the civil war history in that area. It was nice to have a ref and microwave to cut down on eating out. I loved the breakfast area and the homemade biscuits and gravy! If we were to ever travel...

We stayed Thursday night at a different hotel and came here Friday morning and was blown away at how precious the staff are, how clean and well kept the entire place is, and the southern hospitality was remarkable! We love this place. We visit Selmer atleast once a year to see family and this will be our new home away...

We stayed at the Southwood Inn in Selmer, Tn from 7-19-12 to 7-25-12 and it was a very good place. The rooms were very clean and the Host Lisa was a very nice lady, she made homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast in the morning along with the other selections that she had to choose from. The beds were very...

The owner and the desk clerks are the most accommodating people you can imagine. They take the time ask how they can make your stay better while you are there. The breakfast was exceptionally good and varied. I will make a point of going back to visit my friends Lisa ( the owner) and Sarah ( the most helpful desk...

A friend and I stayed here March 30 through April 1 for the Battle of Shiloh 2012. The people are super nice - very friendly. Although it is an older hotel the rooms were very nice and comfortable. My friend and I are very happy that we didn't pay attention to the old reviews and will definitely stay here again...

I stayed at this establishment September 16th and 17th, 2011. It was quiet, clean and the staff were exceptional. The lady that owns the place was so friendly and even cooked our waffle and served them to us. I will be going back next summer for a night or two just to lounge and swimming. Loved this little place!!!!

What a great little motel! From the moment we were greeted at the front desk until we were getting ready to drive away we were treated like gold. The owner personally handles the free breakfast which is much more than a continental breakfast. She made her own special biscuits and gravy for us and it was delicious! The rooms were...

The Southwood Inn Motel could best be described as a friendly mom and pop type of business that really looks out for its customers. Their motto "Come as our guest, leave as our friend" really holds to be true. The service is top-notch with helpful friendly staff. I had traveled to the area a few years prior and many upgrades...

We needed to stay in Selmer for two nights. I have stayed at the Americas Best and it was rather loud and roudy. I felt this was a safer hotel and I was traveling with my daughter and her two kids 8 & 10. The room was filthy, bed spreads were sticky, bathroom had dead bugs behind the door and...
