Four of us spent a midweek night at the Mountain Harbour hostel after three nights on the AT through the Roan Highlands. Well located for either NOBO or SOBO hikers. Arrived and were immediately shown our clean and comfortable accommodations. Slept beautifully in the comfortable loft. Good food resupply service for those heading back to the trail, like us. Mary...

My ladies hiking group spent the weekend hiking the area and stayed at Mountain Harbor. This was my third trip staying at this B&B. The owners are wonderful people and Mary makes you feel like family. The breakfasts are amazing! The hiking was beautiful! I highly recommend Mountain Harbor!

I can see why this property has great reviews. We enjoyed the Jefferson room with its comfortable king-size bed and private bath. The jacuzzi tub wasn't working, but we needed showers after our hikes anyway and the shower had good water flow. The furnishings were fairly basic and the smallish TV was a bit too far from the bed. There...

Just after calling to make a reservation, I knew this would be a friendly place. We took a room for 3 (room Isabelle), Our daughter loved sleeping in the alcove and we enjoyed the king zise bed. Chocolate on the pillow, fridge and microwave in the room. Bathroom was shared with 2 other rooms so there was some waiting time...

We backpacked for 3 days through the AT. Every other hiker we came across from was raving about this bed and breakfast and how we needed to make it a priority to get there early. We were not sure what the hype was all about. After calling ahead to say we would we there Tuesday morning they said to make...

Best B&B that I have been too! The people who ran it were very nice and helpful. The room was perfect to celebrate our two year anniversary and the food was to die for it was so good. We will for sure being staying there again in the future.

This quaint Bed and Breakfast in the mountains is much more than a homey stop and hostel for hikers since it is so close to the Appalachian Trail, but this hidden gem is a mountainous, scenic, comfortable getaway for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and a breakfast that is, dare I say, better than Mama's cookin'! I stayed at the...

This B&B is well known for its hiker's hostel and sumptuous home cooked, country breakfasts. We joined a through hiker friend for a 23 mile leg of the AT. Although the hostel, a converted barn, has everything a weary hiker could want (comfortable beds, wood stove, showers, a cozy sitting area stocked with books and movies), we chose to stay...

My husband and I simply adore Mountain Harbour Bed and Breakfast and their wonderfully hospitable staff and accommodations. We love it for a special occasion destination (holidays, our anniversary) as well as a pre- or post-hike stayover. Mary's breakfasts are beyond anything I have ever seen! Beautifully presented and varied enough for every taste as consideration- gluten-free, vegetarian, or no-holds-barred-bring...
