Very unhappy. I have artificial knee and asked not for first floor but hopefully at least a second floor, so not to climb so many steps. They put us on third. An 84 yr old lady with breathing issues was across from us, while they put the young family on ground floor. When asked i

Spent the night here 11/14 on our way to South Carolina. Arrived mid evening and check in was easy and fast. Unit was very nice but on 3rd floor with no elevator. Difficult climb for a senior citizen carrying luggage.

Good enough if you are not expecting a 5 star resort. The unit was very nice with new appliances. The bathroom was very nice with lots of vanity space. The bed was comfortable as was the sofa bed. Nice table and chairs perfect for a family of 4.

Wonderful place, great location, clean, rooms are nicely decorated. I'd come back again and again. Didnt need to bring anything. Just us and food. Smokey mountains are beautiful this time of year. Traffic not too bad.

Oak mount Resort does not accommodate handicapped people!!! When we asked for a handicap room they put us on the third floor with 30 steps to climb. Try doing that with two bad knees!!! Would NOT Recommend this facility.

I wanted more information about Oakmont resort what kind of room did you have what floor was it on I have a reservation we asked for the first floor they gave me the third flood they knew was have a handicap son in a wheelchair
I made no special request but we were on the 3rd floor. I should have requested the 1st floor for my wife but since she could not come with us I did not make the request.

We have a reservation to go to Oakmont thru RCI from my wyndham points. I have a son in a wheelchair when we made the reservation they knew that. I was told to request first floor I tried and to request first floor I was told its up to RCI RCI said its up to Oakmont. So where are they assigned us. they are putting us on the third floor I am pissed but of course they said nothing available When I get my vacation over I will go on line and tell my problems I AM POSITIVE OAKMONT and RCI will not like my comments.
In Oakmont's description it states they are do not have elevators and that rooms are accessed by stairs. RCI is crap and they are not going to tell you anything other than what is written as the description on the RCI website. Complaining to RCI will not do you any good as they have nothing to do with the Oakmont resort accommodations and they do not care about anything other than getting your fees and booking a reservation. It is Oakmont's responsibility to provide you with the best possible accommodation with your situation. I recommend you personally call Oakmont and talk with them. Another option is to try their sister resort; Treetop.

I have a son in a wheelchair what do you think about getting a ground floor. Do they charge for their breakfast I heard they do have a pot luck where everyone brings something do they charge for that not very happy with timeshares charging for everything I understand they don't furnish shampoo or coffee for their coffee pot
I do not think that they will guarantee you a ground floor room and they do not have elevators.

Arranged for two, two bedroom units in August. Got my confirmation letters yesterday. Two letters, one ground floor, one third floor. We've been vacationing with our four couple group for years, never seen this happen. Surprised someone in reservations didn't put two and two together and see one name had two units and get them together. I called and Tina said she would see what she could do, I said ok, thanks, and that was the end of the call as she hung up. I'm not going to bother calling till the holiday's over, but I did explain that we're all over 55 and really would appreciate at least being on the same floor. RCI did NOT tell me there's three floors with no elevators, and I just now saw in bold print your comment about how the resort is "unable to change your unit assignment." ....really hoping for a good outcome here! Also, that $150 deposit, is that returned after the stay and I'm wondering what that's for anyway?
I'm wondering if you got this resolved. We were on the top floor and we are both over 55. Managed to climb the steps without much problem-the most difficult thing was getting luggage up to our room. Good luck.
