Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is now permanently off our list for Pigeon Forge hotels. This USED to be great, USED to have friendly staff, USED to have good amenities. This is no longer the case. Our room was recently renovated but and looked good however it smelled of sewage the whole time. It’s still a good location to attractions, the pool is still good and better than most in the area, the staff has killed it. For a room with four people we were only proved 2 bath towels. I called for more and was given one more which was heavily scented with cologne. The breakfast is significantly smaller than in the past “due to renovations” it just looked blocked off not like anything was actively being done to it. One morning after breakfast I went to ask for more towels and I was rudely told to find the housekeeper on my floor and ask them. Every interaction with this woman was unpleasant. I found the housekeeper who seemed annoyed to be stopped to give more towels. I also am concerned that they must be employing children. The housekeepers son was bolting down the hallway and nearly knocked down both of my younger children. He was also in the room cleaning. They also blocked the main exit at checkout time with a ladder. There clearly has been a change in management for the worse which is a shame because it has great bones and is in a great location. It’s ruined now.

Hotel's Favourite
Staying in June with my family ,the hotel was a perfect beginning and end to everyday of enjoying the Pigeon Forge area. The manager Vincent Brozzetti is running a great establishment with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure guests feel comfotable. This is my second stay and I will be back. Karine Williams and Bitsy Foor at the front desk were exceptional. .Rooms always clean and location good. My family really enjoyed pool and jacuzzis. I highly reccomend this hotel.

Some of my review has to do with construction which will be temporary. But the lack of a caring staff and that the new rooms let in too much light are permanent deal breakers for me. I will start with the worst first. Checked in, went to our room, my wife sat down at the desk to write a note and the chair broke, dumping her onto the floor hurting her wrist. And no, she is not a heavy person. I called the front desk and they did agree to move us to another room because apparently it wasn't possible to just move another chair to the room we were already in. The guy didn't seem to care when I told him the fall hurt my wife. When I went to get the keys to the new room the clerk told us he wasn't sure if we would be charged for the chair or not! Unbelievable! My wife is in the room with an ice pack on her wrist, I have told the guy she was hurt and that is all he had to say. They did not charge us for the chair but at no time did anyone say so much as "I'm sorry". On check in the guy at the front desk hardly said a word. No greeting, he didn't say anything about the hotel's breakfast times or make an apology for the construction that had the lobby torn apart. Later that weekend we saw him asleep in the office. The hotel elevators were filthy. Maybe understandable when construction was actually going on but they were never cleaned. Construction materials were piled on the stairway landings, on some floors causing an unsafe situation. Stairwell handrails were covered in dust. If you like a dark room to sleep in then the renovated rooms will not be for you. There was no way I could tell to turn off the balcony light and the blackout blind was mounted too far from the window such that a lot of light came in at the sides. I would not stay at this property again for that reason alone. But that coupled with a staff, including manager, that doesn't care has gotten me to write off this property from any future consideration.

Room was dirty. Hot tubs did not work during our stay as we were told they did when we called a day before arrival. Talking to other families while there they seem to have been there to enjoy the hot tubs as well. Stayed there many times before but unfortunately this will be my last. Not one to give bad reviews but that is why there are reviews for others to read.

Booked a King room on the Choice Hotel website, arrive at hotel to check in and was assigned at room. I went to the room and discovered I was assigned a two bed queen room. I promptly returned to the front desk and was told they had overbooked the king rooms and I was upgraded to a 2 queen room. I’m have been a Gold/Platinum Rewards member with Choice for well over 10 years. I was bluntly told by the front desk that no king rooms were available and 5he queen room was the only choice. I asked for the room to be cancelled. They stated they would if it’s what I wanted. I told them what I wanted was the king room I booked. Again, sorry you were bumped. I had them cancel and I left. Let me also state that I have stated at this exact hotel in my name and my wife’s name in excess of five previous times. Not again! I booked a competitor brand within 1 mile of this hotel from the parking lot before leaving the property. Beware of businesses that treat the valid customers in this manner

Check-in was a breeze but the front desk guy was not friendly at all. Didn’t even get a hello. We booked this room because there were so many reviews about the “amazing view” of the mountains. Well, unbeknownst to us, in order to get a mountain view room, you were supposed to call the morning of and request a view on that side of the hotel, otherwise, you get to look at a parking lot. I asked if we could switch to a Mountain View room and was told there were none available and I should have called that morning (very rudely with an eye roll and a disgusted sigh). That was fine as it was, apparently, our mistake. We did like the location of the hotel and the layout of the room but the room needs some sprucing up. The safety arm latch on the door was completely broken off, some wallpaper was peeling, the hot water was nowhere near hot enough, the furniture had worn marks, the shower curtain had holes and stains on it and was too short for the shower. My daughter took a shower and got water all over the floor so I used all the towels to clean up the mess. I took the wet towels down to the lobby to exchange them for fresh ones. The same front desk guy with a Jamaican accent was still there watching his phone and I explained the situation. Again, an eye roll with a disgusted “ugh” sound. He got new towels and said, “You are going to have to keep those dirty towels and give them to housekeeping tomorrow.” I said, “Ok, no problem. Most hotels make you bring them the dirty ones so they can make sure you aren’t stealing them or something.” His response was “Honestly I do not care.” I was talking to another patron while waiting for the elevator and she said she asked for pool towels and he told her they were dirty. She asked if she could get bath towels then and he did the same eye roll and “ugh” noise to her. She said she stays there every year and that guy was there last year and was rude and she complained but yet he is still there. We just made sure to stay clear of the front desk no matter what and the rest of the stay was fine. He apparently worked most of the shifts. Maybe he just needs some time off, I don’t know. I do know that because of him, we probably will not go back there.

I hate to keep beating the COVID drum to death but this hotel is not up to the experience it was before COVID. This has been our go to hotel for so many years but changes since COVID make it just average now. They no longer have the afternoon meet & greet with cookies & popcorn. No longer have the omelets made in front of you at breakfast. The breakfast now is your standard hotel fare with powdered eggs, sausage, overcooked biscuits, waffle maker, etc. now on to the room. Wonderful hotel location that puts you far enough off the parkway that the traffic noise isn’t a problem. One of the desk employees was super helpful & I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. The other male was not so much. The hotel & room appear relatively clean. The bathroom has a separate toilet area and pretty small counter with pretty good lighting. There is a microwave & fridge in the room. Now the negative. They list this as a room with 2 queen beds. These are definitely double beds that measure 54x74. I inquired at the desk how they could list these as Queen beds & was told there are different sizes of queen beds. Google couldn’t find any other measurement for queen beds. I was told they only buy queen sheets. That may be & I did notice the mattresses seem thick because they have a mattress topper on them. That’s probably why they use queen sheets & comforters but that doesn’t make it a queen bed. Mattresses are not comfortable so maybe that why the need for the topper. So if you need true queen size beds this isn’t the place for you. There are 2 nice size mirrors in the room that would be a great help getting ready but they are totally useless for applying makeup because the room lighting is like a nightclub. Very dim & we used our phone flashlight several times. There are 3 lamps in the room but very dim bulbs. Here’s another change since COVID. They will bring clean towels every day & empty the trash. That’s all. They don’t touch the bed, if the toilet paper runs out they don’t change it. It is the bare necessities for room maintenance now. The comforter was soiled in our room also. With some improvements this hotel could go back to being special but not in its current state.

In the first offered room, we found an open balcony door and bugs flying around. The next room had cookie crumbs on the box spring of one mattress and crumbs on the sheets of the other mattress. During our 3-day stay, we noticed the presumed housekeeping staff did not wear uniforms or name tags. How do guests know they really are employees? The breakfast host did not interact with guests and appeared to only be concerned with breakfast for the staff and their children. "Shanise" at the desk was awesome and helpful. She saved the stay. We also appreciated Great American Channel and MeTV as tv options.

The hotel has unfortunately went downhill. Mold in the room, overall appearance of neglect. Needs a major renovation. We have stayed here many times through the years and very disappointed in the state of the hotel. If this was the first time staying here I would not return or recommend.
