We were so sad to hear they are closing for 2 years!! It seems perfect to us just the way it is now!! The staff could not have been any better!! They were so warm and kind and Amy did everything to make our stay the absolute best! We stayed in the North Bunkie which was so cute and comfortable! We loved sitting on the beautiful porches in the evening! The breakfast by the personal chef was to die for!!!! The french toast was the best I have ever had!! I'm still trying to figure out how I can get more! Austin was so kind to move all of us and our place settings to the porch so that we could enjoy our breakfast outside. We can not say enough about this place and would return in a heart beat ...unless they change everything :(
Stayed here for 7 nights in September and honestly can't say enough good things about it. Set just far enough out of Nashville to be quiet but near enough to make the commute really short. Everything about this place is 5*, we stayed in the North Bunkie but all the accommodation is stunning. Woke up to a wonderful breakfast made especially for you each morning. The night staff, Amy and Kelly were really lovely but I have to save special praise for Olivia who served our breakfast each morning, she was so friendly and couldn't have helped us more. We will definitely return.
Stayed here for a long weekend. Wanted to be close to Nashville and all it has to offer without all of the chaos. Was so sweet!! We stayed in the King Suite - beautiful and hands down the best shower of any hotel I've ever stayed in!! The staff are so warm and helpful, and the location was quiet and delightful. We walked/ran on the property and enjoyed the nature trails. The chef made breakfasts were yummy - and we enjoyed them outside on the large porch each morning. Couldn't have been more perfect. So sad that they are closing and being sold to a larger hotel chain. Certainly hope that the new owner maintains the same sweet appeal. Couldn't have had a better weekend!!! Thank you to all the staff!!
This place was so much better than we were expecting. What a shame it is closing. Corporate America taking over small businesses once again. This place is great because it is small and cosy with great personalised service. Now they are supposodly turning it into a much bigger resort. What a shame. No wonder hotels are getting so bad. Corporate chains are taking over and overriding cute boutique hotels with great hospitality. I'm sad I'll never get the chance to stay here again,
Amy and Kelly are so very sweet, they make you feel like you are family and have known them for years. I honestly was not too thrilled with Nashville itself but I AM SO IN LOVE with this INN. Such a relaxing country setting only 20 mins from Nashville but felt like a world away. My mom and I stayed in the North bunkie and it is so cute. there is a lot of natural light so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring a sleeping mask. The beds were so soft and comfy. The AC was ice cold so lovely to fall asleep in. The breakfast was very good , we chose to sit on the porch and watch the view of the birds. After breakfast we used the free bikes to go up to the little creek area. We also used the free golf carts to explore the little trails near the property. We were very surprised to hear that Oct 14 will be there last day open. I pray that the new owners do not ruin the natural beauty that surrounds this peaceful place . That is what people like myself look for is to escape that city hectic life and retouch with nature in a pampered way.Thank you again Kelly and Amy i hope to see you all again in 2 yrs .. You all and your Inn was the HIGHLIGHT of my mom's and i mini getaway.…
The Inn is beautiful! It is so peaceful and quiet. Our Bunk House was adorable. We felt like we were the only people around. We enjoyed our visit. Front desk check-in lady was perfect. Only issue is that they forgot our breakfast order even though we turned our card into the front desk. They we very nice and quickly delivered. Food was okay, nothing to write about. Restaurant is closed and I understand has been for a while. If you are looking for a hideaway, this is it. We will go again.
Enjoyed touring the grounds and the winery room for wine tasting. Had lunch there and it was a nice meal. They also had live music while we had lunch. Other things were going on while we were there just didn't have time to check it out but I'm sure it was also good.
Charming property with excellent customer service & the friendliest of staff! The attention to detail is amazing. Perfectly located just a few minutes outside the heart of Nashville, we could not have picked a better place to spend our honeymoon!
My husband and I traveled to Nashville to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We chose to stay at The Inn at Fontanel for all five nights of our stay. We stayed in the Carriage House Suite. After reading the reviews on different travel websites and after exploring the inns website, we were very excited about staying there. The price was a bit higher than staying at a hotel in Nashville, but we wanted to stay somewhere extra special for our anniversary. Pros: The inn is located outside the city - super quiet and little traffic by the inn. It is very easy to travel into the city or anywhere around the city. The staff at the inn-fantastic! Every single person we encountered at the inn was super friendly and helpful. They were also extremely knowledgeable about Nashville and things to see and do. The Carriage House Suite was very spacious yet intimate. Very clean and terrific housekeeping services! The breakfasts are out of this world! The scenery at Fontanel is absolutely stunning! We loved the walking/biking trails. Cons: tours to the mansion are no longer offered, the cafe was closed, and there is obviously a need for some aesthetic improvements and repairs. I want to give them a excellent rating as our stay was absolutely fabulous, however, we were greatly disappointed by the appearance of the property and the lack of the mansion tours and the cafe being closed. We do highly recommend staying at the inn and will stay there again ourselves should we return to Nashville.…
I planned to stay here without a car specifically because I thought they had a restaurant. I guess it's under renovation but I wished they had told me. In house breakfast was great but I had to uber for other meals. My room was SPECTACULAR. A hot water problem mattered none because the service is excellent and the grounds gorgeous and peaceful. I loved being out of the city. I LOVED walking into my room and there was music playing!! And thank goodness I saw no signs of a TV in the lobby which would have ruined it. Staff is attentive and kind. I will stay here again for sure as soon as the restaurant is up and running.
