Choice hotels are not Hilton's, Marriott's, or Hyatt's. They are nearly always older, a bit rundown, and past their former glory. But they are also normally clean and well managed with mostly good staff. And they ALWAYS have their signature beds which are SO comfortable! For those reasons I still like to stay with them from time to time. At this hotel the staff were generally good, beds super comfy, and the property generally clean and well managed. Stayed 5 nights and slept well every night. I wanted to love this place, and did the first couple of days, but then some issues started to occur. The microwave was problematic. The Internet connection would go slow, disconnect, or force logout too often (a big problem when working remotely…). The breakfast was very minimal, even more so than the (Covid) norm these days. Maintenance could have been better, but it could have been a lot worse too… Despite those issues, I still would stay here again if the price was reasonable, as it certainly was this visit. I like the management’s efforts to keep the hotel clean and comfortable. And though a bit worn, the room was comfortable. Had a newer large screen TV with a great movie channel selection, which was nice since I watched movies in the evenings. Was peaceful most of the time due to good quality patrons. The location is convenient and very easy to access from Interstate. And did I mention the beds?? Wanted to take the mattress home with me! 😉…
The hotel was very quiet with comfortable beds. Rooms were mostly clean. Everything appeared super clean until I pulled out sofa bed. It was very dirty underneath sofa. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Staff was friendly.
Had been planning out my hotel since about February as I had purchased my King Crimson tickets at the start of the year. I decided I’d rather be closer to Downtown than completely out of the way. I was hoping I could find an affordable hotel with a bar but decided on this hotel as there was a bar right behind the hotel (Rebar at The Dam) I got a good rate through my company and paid a pretty fair price. Checking in was a breeze. Venus at the desk was hilarious and really friendly. Upon inspecting the room the microwave was fried (beeping on its own) I finally got it to stop wasn’t planning on using it anyway. The fridge worked fine but took awhile to cool my drinks nonetheless everything was cold once I got back from the show. The room itself was clean. Mattress and linens were clean. The window side lamps weren’t working but I wasn’t too worried about it. The room had plenty of lighting already. The couch was comfy enough but I mostly sat at the desk. After getting everything settled I decided to relax and enjoy the pool before the show. The indoor heated pool was very clean and warm but the room was incredibly noisy. There was a loud mechanical knocking noise reverberated across the pool area accompanied by an oily odor which was fairly off putting. The bathroom seriously needed some work. The mirror had not been wiped down in a long time the tub looked to be permanently stained with something brown (dirt likely) but the water pressure in the shower was fine. The bed was comfortable so I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was okay food was average in quality but the breakfast area SERIOUSLY lacked in seating. Coffee was weak (this hotel uses one of those push button machines found in most Choice hotels and it NEVER gets it strong enough) Overall not the best Comfort Suites I’ve been too but average for the price I paid. If you’re booking here expecting something like Fairfield Inn or Hampton look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a basic hotel that’s clean enough and okay for the night. I highly recommend!…
This property was very nice. Huge clean room. Very large bathroom. Great breakfast in a wonderful area. I very seldom give a 5 rating to hotels because so few warrant it. This one does. Strongly recommend.
We are in Nashville for 3 nights. The 1st day we came back to an unmade bed, towels still on the floor It was after 10, but my husband talked to the manager, who guaranteed the room would be cleaned the 2nd day. Arrived back at 5 pm. The room still wasn't cleaned! We caught the housekeeper in the hall and requested the room be cleaned immediately. The front desk gave excuses again. There is no regular coffee in the room. When searching for a dropped item in the bathroom, we noticed pubic hair and urine splashes on the toilet base. Very disappointed! Comfort Suites are usually so much better.
