Checked into office and welcomed by a really nice lady. She got me in and out quickly and I was on my way to my room. I had to get room near airport to be there by 5:00am. The room was clean and for me it was just fine. I liked parking right in front of the door as well. I recommend this place if you are just sleeping and getting ready to go out.
Arrived having paid in advance - would have left immediately if I had not already paid. We had paid for a fridge and microwave and the receipt showed this but the room we were allocated did not have one. I returned to reception where the chap stared at my paperwork and his computer for 10 minutes then told me I had not paid for this level of room. I pointed out that my receipt clearly showed I had booked with a fridge and microwave. He then told me he would upgrade me for free??!! Giving me something for free I had paid for??!! We were given the keys to the new room. I opened the door and the smell of animal urine hit hard. It absolutely stunk. My husband returned to reception again and we were allocated another room. This one was reasonable in comparison to the others, but did not compare to hotels we have stayed at on our trip. Half of the lights did not work, the decor was very dated and not the cleanest place. I don't think the bed or fridge had been moved to clean behind/under in years. Bathroom ok but tatty. I would definitely advise people to stay away. I also guess it's not a desirable area of town going by the Uber drivers comments also. Stay away!!…
Y’all, I don’t typically write mean reviews because I understand that you get what you pay for, but I feel I owe it to others to suggest you not stay here. It’s the worst room I’ve ever had, and I travel a lot all over the country. I left this place after 4 hrs due to roaches, bugs in the bed, blood on pillows, and a broken deadbolt. I then had to fight for three weeks to have a refund despite them promising one when I said I was leaving. Not only that, but when I went to the vending machine for a water, the water bottle came out of the machine already open with half the water consumed! Again, I don’t mean to be ugly but when I laid on the bed to watch tv, I literally had little red bugs crawling all over me and biting me. I would hate for anyone else to deal with that.
We stayed here one night on the way from Minnesota to a motorcycle rally in Knoxville. It was late and we were tired or we would have (should have) found another place to stay. As we rode into the parking lot, we noticed trash, garbage and dirty diapers in the parking area. The steps to our room were filthy, the paint was peeling off the railings and there were rust stains everywhere. Don't be deceived by the on-line photo -- I don't think the pool has been open for many months (or maybe years). Many of the room numbers on the doors are missing, but when I finally found our room and opened the door, I noticed a bug scurrying away -- thought it might be a roach so we didn't put any of our luggage on the floor. My husband later confirmed it was a roach -- he also found an ant in the bathroom. They offer a free breakfast, but the outside of the refrigerator holding the milk so filthy we didn't opt to have any breakfast. The only positive was the front desk staff - she was courteous and tried to do the best with what she had. I asked for a stopper for the sink so I could wash out a shirt and she tried to find one but was unable to do so. I have reported this property to as not being representative of the Choice Hotels brand. Hopefully changes will be made.…
We first check in to a room smelling like cold cigarettes, with stains all over the walls and ceiling. This was not going to work, I then went down to complain to a girl I felt I was disturbing in her afternoon nap. She told me that the room was a smoking room. I never asked for that. She moved us to another room in front of the swimming pool that was .... EMPTY AND SMELLY. Thanks for lying about what you’re offering to your guests ! When we enter the room, the awful smell of humidity and chemical hit us, I felt like puking. I should have red the reviews because I’ve experienced a similar stay ! Stains all over the covers, towels, walls and ceiling, no WiFi, hair on the shower floor, the plugs don’t stay in the hole, holes in the curtains, no more toilet paper, bad functioning light, and bad staff. What else to say? I went to complain in the morning about ALL OF THAT. The man at the front desk had one and only excuse : we gave you a better room with two beds instead of one, for the same rate (60$). DUDE, I never asked for two beds. I didn’t use the two beds! But he had no will in making a happy customer in me so I left angry and disappointed to have given my money to those people. NEVER AGAIN !…
