A great bed and breakfast in a beautiful old house. We stayed in the "Rose Romance" room, which is a lovely space . . . provided that you don't mind climbing the spiral staircase to use the bathroom. The only negative really has more to do with Mountain City than the inn itself. We had a very difficult time finding...

My Wife and I recently spent three nights at the Prospect Hill B&B in Mountain City, TN. We rode a motorcycle down to Mountain City to ride route 421 also referred to as the "Snake" by motorcycle enthusiasts. Prospect Hill is easy to navigate to and very near the heart of Mountain City, but set back enough to give one...

Thank you for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Your right, the pictures on the walls were odd. They have since been changed out and are better suited for the room and visual flow. Donna

Donna is such a wonderful person and her home is just GORGEOUS. Something right out of a period movie ! Our stay was made even more special with personalized breakfast . We stayed in "In the Garden" room which was much better than what It was advertised to be. The room was tastefully decorated, extreeeemly comfortable bed, the bathroom was...

Finding ourselves in Mountain City on business (as much as this is possible in Mountain City) we spent a Monday night in the Prospect Hill Bed & Breakfast. It's not an inn, insofar as it does not serve any meals other than breakfast, and that's too bad, for reasons I'll go into in a moment. The inn is a little...

Thanks for your review and pointing out things that needed to come to my attention. I always appreciate this as sometimes either myself or housekeeping might not notice, such as the tub drain, which has since been fixed. Donna

The Inn was very well-kept, and we really enjoyed our stay there for Valentine's weekend. Although there is not much to do in Mountain City, TN itself, the trip to the Inn is worth it. It is close enough to Bristol, TN and Boone, NC if you are looking for entertainment or shopping, but in a small enough town that...

Finding the B&B was a bit difficult since the small sign had been knocked down by the wind. The room lacked a second chair, so I had to move one from another room. Thankfully the gas fireplace worked, but threw off little heat, since there was no reflector in the back nor a fan to push out the heat. The...

I'm sorry this guest was unhappy with his stay at Prospect Hill. The fireplaces are not designed to provide a roaring blaze, per insurance and fire code rules. But do put out some heat. The room has it's own thermostat for guest to adjust room temperature to their comfort level. I was grateful the water problem was pointed out and...

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Prospect Hill to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Quiet, hospitable and charming. Breakfasts were very good, and the room was lovely - two fireplaces! We loved it! King sized bed was very comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at Prospect Hill while in Mountain City for a family funeral in the off-season. We reserved the "In The Garden" room, which, for its size and comfort, was a good value. Conversations with Judy and Robert were pleasant and interesting. I was able to work with them after arrival to reserve a second room for...

This wonderful B&B has a cottage hidden away in the mountains where we stayed with our five kids and hiked and took them fly fishing and rode the Creeper Trail. The cottage was very comfortable. We used the outdoor firepit to sit around in the evening enjoying lively conversation from successful young doctors and lawyers and one college student. Great...

We hope you'll enjoy rooms at Prospect Hill B&B Inn owned and run by Donna Kodger. The inn has a variety of price points and room...

Prospect Hill was perfect for our taste. The furnishings in the dining room and guest room were quite comfortable and in excellent condition. Everything was clean. We had considered several other Bed and Breakfasts in the area near Abingdon, VA, but selected Prospect Hill because it looked so warm and welcoming, and indeed it was. It was interesting to find...
