To start this is a Pub not a boutique hotel. Some effort has been made in the rooms with good linen LCD tv wall mounted and breakfast supplied. The beds are fine but rooms vary in size so check if they are all priced the same (131.00 - Booking ,com) Note the refurbished bathroom is NOT connected to the room...

We visited for dinner over the Melbourne Cup weekend. Great food, drinks, country hospitality and best of all the views of the Snowy River meeting the sea. Reservations are definitely needed over the weekend or peak times. Walking distance to our accommodation.

We were upgraded to their best suite on arrival which was fantastic. The suite was very modern with top of the range fittings, bathroom and furnishings. The bath tub was great and the bed supremely comfortable. Had a private balcony and well away from the pub and dining areas, which can get noisy. The restaurant was excellent and well supported...

Nice place but beware not all rooms have in suite ensuite. Great pub food and lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Plenty of walks in the area and great views of the Snowy River estuary. Great for fishing so I have been told

The hotel is old and a bit run down, but it was clean and the staff friendly enough. The location was terrific for fishing or beach walking. The pub food was basic and a bit disappointing but overall worth a short stay

A place of infinite charm. We were on a road trip, and happened to book this place because Gipsy Point Lakeside in Gippsland and Waverly house cottages at lakes Enterance were booked; both renowned boutique stays. In the hindsight I feel lucky they were booked and we stayed at Hotel Marlo. It makes you envy the owners for owning and...

Enjoyed salt and pepper calamari on a bleak July day. Practically no one else there but we were served quickly.Huge dining area with verandah overlooking the river. Would be a cracker spot on a summer's afternoon. That will be my next visit.:)

Such a warm and welcoming hotel. Great location and beautiful scenery. Accommodation is roomy and comfy. We ate dinner in the hotel area and the meals were generous and very tasty. Not a top class hotel, but very pleased we stayed! Would definitely stay again.

Travelling down the coast from Canberra we decided to stay in Marlo as neither of us had been to Marlo before and the Marlo Hotel seemed better value than we could get at Lakes Entrance. We are glad we made that choice, our room (twin) was spotlessly clean, the bed's super comfy and cosy and we enjoyed the continental breakfast...

A nice little find walking distance to the estuary and the centre of the village, close to the boat ramp and jetty. The rooms were nicely decorated and well-appointed with breakfast provisions included. A little pricey for a pub room but you could see why. Pub meals are available in the on-site bistro, the menu sounds great.
