Loved our stay. Breakfast and view were great - a little step back in time in a comfortable and comforting way. What to expect: moderate hotel ensuite rooms but with large shared kitchen, dining and 'drawing' room - all lovely appointed with water views. Fire...More
We stayed here on the way to Melbourne, from Sydney just to break up the driving.
It was such a lovely place I wish we had of had longer. Seems like the perfect place to unwind away from the chaos of the city. The rooms...More
We recently spent a week at Karbeethong Lodge and returned home rested and rejuvenated, vowing to return again next year. The Lodge has a very warm friendly feel to it thanks to both the thoughtfully decorated interiors and the genuine hospitality of the host. The...More
This place would be great value if could enjoy the facilities notionally available.
Our booking was confused with another and the host wasn't expecting us when we arrived. Our room was OK; tasteful basic hotel room. Breakfast buffet was OK, too, with dried fruits, cereals,...More

No, part of the beauty of the place is that it doesn't have TV/Foxtel and you don't miss it. In fact, that is one of the things that make it special. The Guests actually talk to each other and the kids do things they normally wouldn't such as board games, card games, reading etc rather than sitting in front of "the Box" and not communicating. Don't take the lack of having a TV as a negative, it's actually a positive. There is a great little pub in town, a picture theatre and your days will be relaxing exploring the beaches, lakes area, bushwalking or just lazing on the front verandah taking in the views.
You'll enjoy your stay.
