We had a very nice long weekend with our small children here. They loved the wildlife and being able to explore the extensive grounds. We loved the spectacular setting and enjoying the view from the balcony. The cabins are fairly basic but had everything we needed plus a wood burning stove, at a decent price. The town centre is close... More

Having stayed in two different Comfort inns before arriving here, I was unimpressed with the cabins. There's no wifi so I had to walk into the town to visit a cafe to go on-line. The setting is idyllic, kangaroos graze the well kept gardens and lots of bird life. Pleasant enough but a bit spartan.

We had a wonderful stay in this most beautiful of locations. Wildlife everywhere warm and cosy lodgings. The kids had a lovely time walking amongst the kangaroos and bird life. Cabins were nice with all the amenities you need and plenty of fire wood to keep warm. Great location to explore numerous walks and lookouts or just pottering around Halls... More

Situated in easy reach of Halls Gap facilities, D'Altons Resort is a comfortable, affordable and warm base for exploring the Grampians. When we visited, snow on nearby slopes made for a bit of magic and it was great to come home to the double spa and reverse cycle heating. There are cabins without spas but it was worth the slightly... More

We stayed here for 4 nights . The resort is run down and a fire risk. The swimming pool was dirty and out of use and on the 2nd day a cover was put over the pool. The chalets were okay but the beds were lumpy, however they did have an electric blanket on the queen size bed. The owners... More

This was my second time visiting D'altons and i booked this as part of our Great Ocean road tour as i was touring with my partner this time rather than my family. I loved it so much the first time i stayed, that i booked another night this year. My partner also loved it so we actually decided not to... More

Property has both a 'no-kids' area as a kids area. We stayed at the former, one of the advantages being that the wildlife in front of the cabins is not scared away by exploring juniors. Cabins are clean, fairly modern, common area in front of cabins leaves room for exploring kangaroos. Owner (David) is very friendly. Had a good time.

We had a studio cabin here for 3 nights. It was very nice, especially compared to the price. Pretty views on a lawn with kangaroos. Nice room, your own deck. Service very fine. Free laundry. Shower a bit weak. Many mosquitoes however. Free wifi not in the cabin but at the reception.

I can't understand why people write reviews and complain that the accommodation isn't 'hotel' standard. Surely people look at the web site before booking, thus ensuring that they are not surprised when they arrive. Rant over. We stayed here on our tip from Melbourne to Adelaide, what a great stopover. The welcome was warm and friendly, along with suggestions of... More
