I've dined a number of times at the Royal Mail over the years and it's standards are still very high. Easily the best restaurant in the area and in the top 50 in the state. It's not cheap but you will have a very nice meal with good service.

My husband and I finally got a night off and went to dinner at Royal Mail Hotel. From the moment we walked in service was fantastic. We got offered bubbles to start our evening followed by some fancy snacks. We were sitting in the middle of the restaurant looking straight into the kitchen. It was just amazing to see how...

The room we stayed in was very comfortable, and included everything we needed for a relaxing night out of town. The view of MT Sturgeon was sensational, and watching the sun set from the balcony was really lovely. We ate at the Parker St Project. DON'T DO THIS. Terrible service, REALLY OVERPRICED, badly cooked food. It was a massive disappointment....

Accommodation ok, beds are a bit tired but comfortable enough with good linen, great size bathroom clean but does need heating, could leave the door open to get heat from the bedroom but this then lets light from outside pathways in. Heating in the room even on low fan is way to noisy and powerful for such a small room,...

We stayed in the garden view units and ate at the restaurant. Both could not be faulted and we would recommend a visit to anyone. Service in the restaurant and bar was friendly and well-informed. The accommodation was quite spacious, clean and well-equipped.

We were not sure what to expect with this hotel located in the tiny, cute little town of Dunkeld. "Can't be THAT flash" we thought. oh were we wrong. the room is incredible, probably some of the 'biggest' views i have ever seen from a hotel room. spectacular view of Mt Sturgeon. The room itself was modern, clean, and private...

We booked in to this Motel for a special dining occasion at the adjoining Restaurant. The unit was very spacious and clean, and very private being one of the back units. There was no view but this was not a problem for us. Also we had to cross the main road to get to the Restaurant, and back later in...

stayed 2 nights in October for 32nd Wedding Anniversary. The Mountain View rooms are slightly basic (could benefit from a touch of Interior Designer magic) and the views of Mt.Sturgeon are being challenged by the ever increasing height of the Gum Trees. I would suggest in years to come there will be no view of Mount Sturgeon. One of the...

Enjoyed our stay, and had a lovely view of Mt Sturgeon from our room (when the clouds had disappeared). We all enjoyed the 5 course meal, but unfortunately the meat was not tender in one course - enjoyed our treats at the end of the meal hidden in the "dirt". No cutlery required to eat them. Service could not be...

It's a long way to travel - but it is worth a long weekend visit. Arrived Friday afternoon and after a short walk around the town and to the Arboretum and old saw mill we had dinner at the Parker Street Project - very relaxing, good food and nice staff. Saturday morning was breakfast and off up to Grampians Estate...
