We were a group of four couples biking the Mt to Murray trail and stayed at the George Kerferd in king size rooms. Loved the size of the rooms and very comfortable beds. Staff were very helpful. Dinner at night was nice but lacked colour in the vegetable line. Grounds are beautiful and such a peaceful place to stay. Would...

I stayed here for 2 nights for business. A very helpful and friendly check in, a nice clean but small room. I was in the George Kerferd building. What a stunning time of year to visit; mid autumn and the hotel (and region) was surrounded by vivid autumn colours. I was surprised to discover that the restaurant was not open...

We felt so welcome and appreciated your willingness to cater for our vegan dietary requirements. In all honesty we weren't sure what we would be presented with at a "pub" but my goodness the food was far from typical pub food, it was fine dining quality and incredibly delicious. We were blown away by the flavours!!! We will definitely be...

We stayed at George Kerferd for a wedding. Initially we had a lot of trouble booking this place and we had to book through an online site because we only needed 1 nights accommodation and the George Kerferd would not take our booking over the phone unless we booked for 2 nights (very strange). We found the Kerferd clean and...

Stayed 1 night in the George Kerferd rooms just down from Linker Quarters, The rooms were a little small but very comfortable. They offer a free light breakfast every morning. The grounds are beautiful with the back drop being the old Beechworth Lunatic Asylum.

We stayed as two couples in the Linacre Nurses quarters. This old art deco styled building has been refurbished to provide great quality yet affordable accommodation. We paid under $120/night including continental breakfast. We had the rooms with en suite bathrooms. Both rooms were generous, unlike what shows on their website. Plenty of heating for a chilly Beechworth morning.

We stayed at Linaker Quarters, former nurses accommodation at the asylum. It has been recently renovated and has very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, beautiful grounds. Very quiet location. The GK hotel restaurant nearby offers excellent meals in a nice atmosphere.

We loved our night here and wished we had longer but unfortunately we had to travel the next day. It's is nostalgic with a Retro tone to it especially in the foyers and lounge areas. The room had been renovated, it was roomy with a sitting room area seperate to the bedroom, it was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Lovely...

Beechworth has much to recommend it, as does the accommodation at the Linaker Quarters, which are excellent value with the inclusion of breakfast. No ghosts here, but there is a tour on the grounds if you are so inclined!

Needed somewhere to stay in Beechworth with friends and one of them had booked a room at the George Kerferd Hotel. When I had a look on the website I found that apart from the GK you could also stay at their other premises, the Linaker Art Deco Nurses Quarters. As this looked pretty interesting and the rooms seemed bigger...
