I found this caravan park, sooo good, have stayed in there cabins and in our caravan, the amenities are excellent. Lots of good eating places close to park, not to mention a some really nice shops. The views are awesome, right on the beach and river , you must experience a beautiful sunrise or sunset. The staff are very friendly... More

Cabin was great everything provided, clean etc. owners or staff seemed a little difficult to get along with not very skilled in problem solving. Short walk to local hotel and beach, location great. Washing machine and dryers eat coins and very difficult to get reimbursed.

We had some family business to take care of, so needed to find accommodation somewhere near Barwon Heads for a couple of days. Despite having lived in the area and visited lots, we've never stayed in the caravan park cabins before. Being mid-winter, we were not keen to camp lest Victoria deliver some arctic weather, so opted for one of... More

This is the second time we have stayed here and absolutely love it! We're booked in again next January! Fabulous facilities and location for families with kids and friendly atmosphere! With plenty to see and do and not far to get to Geelong or the Great Ocean Road with all the sea-side towns that offers, I would highly recommend booking... More

This parks best feature would have to be it's great location right on the beach. The caravan sites are nicely sheltered and the facilities are clean. It's walking distance to the township and restaurants and also the lookout just down the beach.

This is a council owned park and is spread out over a very large area with the football ground in the middle of it, We had a good size site, close to the amenities which were very good and clean. The park is situated between the sea and the Barwon River, walking distance to the local shops.

Thankyou for your review Heather M we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify, the park is not council owned. Barwon Heads Caravan Park & Riverview Family caravan park in Ocean Grove are both Crown Land parks - our overseers are Barwon Coast Committee of Management who are responsible to Dept Environment Land Water and Planning. We booked a 2 night stay because we had a wedding at the Heads close by. The cottage was comfortable and in a great location. We only had a short walk to the wedding reception at the Heads which we were not aware of when we booked so that was great too. If you are planning to stay and eat... More

Booked 2 nights with a friend as a quick getaway. Monday and Tuesday night. Laura's beach house came highly recommended. It was so close to the water and had amazing views, very quiet and comfy. Plenty space for 2, walk to shops, restaurants, beaches. Some furniture getting a little "tired" and stained. Sun lounges needed for the deck. Otherwise great... More

Stayed here this January for 1 week and last January for 2 weeks. One disappoint was that we couldn't rebook the site we had last year due to the previous annual people having the site for 50 odd years, being ill they let it go for 1 year and then took it back up again, that was fine. But we... More

My 2 bedroom cabin near the footy oval was set high, affording water/beach views over the camper vans and caravans on the river side of the oval. At night time I could see the lights of Ocean Grove and listen to the gentle rumble of the nearby ocean waves. The accommodation and grounds were immaculate; the staff friendly and responsive....
