The good: located in the middle of Double Bay, an upmarket harbour harbor suburb. Room decor is nice enough. Price was fair (approx $150 a night).
The bad: small windowless room. Paper thin walls (guy in next room on speaker phone on his mobile and...More
great location if you happen to want to stay in the area of double bay, rose bay and vaucluse. the hotel is only three stories and has a lift. the courtyard rooms are a bit pokey but if you pay the extra the rooms that...More
Stayed here with 2 girlfriends for a wedding in Watson’s Bay, had a double room, lots of space and good bathroom. Didn’t spend much time in room but was a good base, area, nice places around to have breakfast and good value
We were in Sydney for a good friends wedding and the Double Bay location was perfect. However the room we had was pretty sub standard, with dirty walls, dirty carpet and a general lack of care. Batteries in aircon remote were run-out, only one chair...More

Australia > New South Wales > Sydney > Woollahra > Double Bay
Located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Double Bay is a one of the city's most beautiful harbour neighbourhoods. Designer boutiques provide a decadent shopping experience and dress some of the most beautiful people in Sydney. Sit down at one of the open air cafes for a latte or a meal and enjoy the people-watching. Double Bay was once an exclusive enclave for an older, elite population, but new
restaurants, late night bars, hotels and cafés are attracting a younger, vibrant mix, making Double Bay the place to be on the harbour.

Hi Alma, yes it is. cannot remember the room numbers but they are on level three of the hotel. There are also some rooms that face Knox Lane which runs at the rear of the hotel and they have a smaller terrace but the rooms are larger. There is a great pub across the road about 50m away and some great restaurants. I go to Sydney every couple of months for work, sometimes with my wife and sometimes on my own and found the Savoy last year after about 12 years of staying in different hotels largely in the CBD and Darling Harbour. Now I only ever stay at The Savoy and it is not down to value for money as I do not foot the bill but because the hotel is friendly and Double Bay is just so well located. Hope you have a wonderful wedding anniversary. Cheers. David
