Great place for a casual day/night out. The down side is having to go to various places to order food. Depending on how busy it is, a family or group could end up having a very disjointed meal. For such a large venue I also expected some type of dessert... the only thing they had was gelato and that wasn't...

The place has changed since the 70's. I am not certain that it is success. There seems to be lots of servers and choices for food. The choices, however, are expensive. The view is super, but parking difficult on busy days.

Visited here with kids and it had a great area for them to play while we ate. The food was good and the place itself was really nice. The fish and chips were good and so was the bug and prawn noodles. Definitely a good family spot.

I'm a non-drinker so Hotels are not my first choice for grabbing a bite and a drink....especially when kids are in tow. I just think there are better environments to introduce them to. My Wife, Friends, and extended Family have differing views, so I sometimes find myself attending these types of venues for a lunchtime / dinnertime snack. After spending...

Returned to the Newport Arms after learning that the place was under new management and had been refurbished. The new pavilion style layout is nothing but confusing - buy food at one place, and in some instances, queue for and buy drinks at another. Seriously? Further adding to the confusion is the menu - which lacks description about the refurbishment...

We've eaten at the Newport Arms Hotel on several occasions but after our experience on the 27th of December 2106 I'm not sure we will ever go back. Despite them having several bars and food outlets throughout their complex the wait to get served was woeful. Add to that a 47 minute wait to get one lousy salad and a...

Definitely head right to the back part outside to try and secure yourself a table overlooking the nearby canal. The boats all around and the bush and water make for a great scenic view. There is a good selection of food which came out so quickly and was good quality too. Family friendly as well and just a friendly vibe.

We went here to eat and stayed for good times and new friends! Gorgeous location with tons of bars and little restaurant/different cuisine options. Staff was attentive, food was on point, libations great, and the fun was plentiful. HIGHLY recommend for any nearby visit. Good for families, friends, couples, groups.

Everything about the Newport on a Friday night is marvellous; the beer, food and atmosphere makes for a great night out. We were a family group of eleven with grandparents, parents, teens and younger children and everyone was catered for. From beer to Coke Cola to lime and lemon bitters everyone had their special drink. And when it came to...
