Located on North Head at Manly, Q Station offers unparalleled sweeping views of Sydney Harbour from Manly back towards the City and South Head. With over 70 buildings spread across 33 hectares, bring your walking shoes with you. We offer a shuttle service on site as no private vehicles are given access - so leave your vehicle at our carpark, jump on board and relax. Whilst here we'd recommend that you visit our Luggage Store Visitor Centre Cafe & Museum, as well as the Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant & Bar - both areas are very popular here.

We had a great time at Q Station. We were in the old first class accommodation (building P5). The rooms are fairly small but that's part of the experience of staying in a historic building. We went on a self-guided tour and were able to go into a lot of different buildings with a lot of cool old artifacts. However, there had been a wedding reception at the old hospital and by midday the next day there were still dirty glasses around the building. It was a fairly warm weekend for March when we stayed, and when we were in our room during the day we had the doors open and fan on, but at night the fan alone was enough to keep us cool. We had a nice view, but the views were better further along the veranda. The shuttle bus is very convenient for getting around the grounds and for getting into Manly. I found some of the staff to be a bit rude and was disappointed with the level of service from hotel staff given the price of staying here. In particular I had a lot of trouble trying to organise beach towels with reception. The beach is nice for a swim but there is a lot of sea grass and there were a lot of boats very close to the shore. I would definitely recommend for a weekend away given the location and history of the area, but be aware the level of service may disappoint.

The view is spectacular and some of the staff are great. Historically amazing however: The rest is awful. No bathroom or even water in the room - you have to wander around in your pjs to go to the loo, or shower, or make a cup of tea. Would have been great to know to bring a robe. One key: which is a serious issue if there are two of you and to even go to the bathroom you need to unlock two doors. If he wanders off with the key I'm stuck! No aircon!!! Jeeeeez - seriously? Warn people - this isn't fair - it was like sleeping in a mouldy sauna. So open the window you think? ha ha. No opening windows! You can't even open the door to try and breathe because in minutes a bush turkey runs in and goes through your things in search of food. Again and again - every time we open the door. Stinks of mould which makes sense as their is no way to air the room. No screens to leave door open. Hard bed - awful pillows. No electrical sockets near the bed - ?? Cpap, phones? There is one a fair bit away from bed that I can use for cpap but what about a 2nd person with cpap? Nothing open to get food or drink from 4pm -5.30 (so it's UNHAPPY HOUR) - if you don't book for breakfast you may miss out and no one told us you had to book. You have to wait for shuttles to get to and from your room when you arrive and leave - time consuming. AND most idiotic- this is a conference centre yet there is no check out area anywhere near the conference venues or accommodation. You have to call a shuttle. Wait. Catch the shuttle to reception. Wait. Check out. Wait for another shuttle. and an hour later you can go back in to the conference room you disturbed and just missed an hour of. So many of these problems are not just because it is historic - you could find ways to make the experience nicer for adults. A lot of this is very poor management and planning. Unless you are after a weekend at a kids camp basic place you might want to stay elsewhere. I could not wait to leave and wouldn't ever stay again.

Booked dinner with shuttle service. Shuttle service: Felt unsafe as they were speeding in the dark, both down to the wharf and back. Other guests also were uncomfortable and uneasy with the dangerous driving. Dinner: Cosy and kind staff. The food wasn't as good as one would expect. Set menu's are out of date. I would get rid of them unless its a good deal. Our starters were nice. But the mains were not very good, including the vegetarian main which was inedible. Has potential to be as good as it was pre covid. But something is lacking.

This location is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places to stay in Sydney. It's absolutely stunning, which is what you're paying for. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. After returning from the city that night, ours was stifling hot. There is not a window open except the bathroom, which, if open, everyone could see in. We had the doors wide open to let some cooler air in, and a very sick looking possum waltzed in and weed all over the pillow, bed, and bedside alarm clock. Being midnight, there was no way to get sheets changed. Luckily, we had a fold out sofa and grabbed some off that. No coffee in rooms and no way to get transport from the front gate late at night. Breakfast was delightful and had something for everyone.

I booked the hotel for 4 nights online and received a reservation confirmation; only to told the next morning that the hotel has no place. Checking with the hotel, they said it was not their problem but an Accor problem. Tried finding the right contact person at Accor is a near impossibility. Have written to Customer Relations and finally to the CEO of Accor and no response for more than a week. As an Accor member this is disgusting customer service and what am I to do with a reservation and no room and no contact??

Beautiful setting with lovely rooms. However no Aircon in Bedrooms. Fans just not enough on a hot night. Unfortunately we also had a blackout which meant trying to sleep with doors open which was less than ideal. Autumn and Spring would probably be the best time to stay and to enjoy all the place had to offer. Staff were very good I have to say and most obliging.

Totally disappointed at our two night stay at the Q Station Manly. We paid extra to stay in a Heritage Suite and expected better - musty smelling rooms with no screens on the door so no ventilation in the room. Filthy verandah - looked like it had not been cleaned in a LONG time. We could not sit out on the verandah, as it was so filthy. Broken glass at the outdoor restaurant tables - a hazard for little ones and those with no shoes and housekeeping who left our door wide open after they came in to do who knows what because they didn't bother to make the bed and left the heat light on in the bathroom. Anyone could have wandered in and helped themselves to our belongings. This would be one of the WORST places we have EVER stayed in.

Shabby not chic. Old is fine bit there is no aircon, no opening windows and a ceiling fan. Can’t leave the doors that do open, open or a scrub turkey will trash your room like a league player on mad Monday. Bathrooms mouldy and everything was generally a bit dirty. Pity as the location is good.

It was 40’c today and none of the rooms have air conditioning! Our room is like a sauna. We bought the accommodation at a charity event, meaning we paid twice the price for our accommodation, the two couples checking in after us received upgrades, given we had a “gift voucher “ we were given a very average room. We won’t be back.

We booked in for one night in a heritage Harbour view room. As with all our trips, I checked out positive and negative reviews about Q Station prior to going. The positive reviews FAR outweigh the negative ones. Negative reviews are a good way to prepare yourself for possible problems. We took notice of the need to take your own drinks and snacks. We also took a power board after reading there was only one power point that powered the rooms mini fridge. We also threw in insect repellent to ward off the mozzie that people complained about. It's all about " the 6 P's" when it comes to planning time away. I can tell you, yes the rooms are basic, yes there are no windows to leave open except from the French doors into the room ( unless you're staying in the cottage options) but really, how many hotel rooms have opening windows. The views are amazing. The peaceful surrounds are perfect. The shuttle service around the complex works well and the staff are very friendly. We didn't do any of the tours on offer but will next time. The stairs down to the beach are manageable but I did catch the shuttle back up to our room. I would definitely recommend staying here.
