Just spent a week at the gorgeous Tailwind Jungle Lodge with 4 others on a yoga retreat. We all had a wonderful time enjoying the jungle, nearby beach and the lovely town of San Pancho. Tamara was incredibly helpful and welcoming and the rest of the staff were just lovely. This is a beautiful place to unplug, slow down, immerse...

I truly loved having this yoga retreat group here! The retreat leader and her guests were delightful!

I took some time to write my comment because I did not want to be confused by my fresh memories. First the Jungle is really a WOW!!! But I did not really pay to see the Jungle which should be free (Nature sighting is Free) I pay to have an experience. I would have to agree with the other couple...

I am very surprised and confused to read this review, particularly given that I spent quite a bit of personal time with the reviewer! I invited her into my home and we spoke for over an hour about her life and work. I did my best to provide a warm and welcoming environment for her. She had nothing but wonderful...

If you go here, spend the money and stay in the nicer accommodation options (which is quite a price jump). The bungalows are run down and the pictures do not accurately represent the actual rough conditions you will find yourself in. Of all the places we stayed in San Pancho and Sayulita area, this was definitely the WORST accommodation for...

These guests who wrote this review were an older couple who were clearly not comfortable in the bungalow. As the owner, I have stayed in the bungalow many times and have found it to be quite comfortable. However, the bungalow seems to be most well suited to young, adventurous travelers. Many guests who come through here have said that "the...

Thank you jungle family for welcoming us into your home. I was able to escape the sounds of Sayulita for a couple nights. It was so healing to be in a space where time seemed to slow. There were opportunities to hike and have ocean adventures, but I found myself wanting to rock in the hammock and listen to the...

I've had the pleasure of several overnight visits to Tailwinds. The Jacobi family is warm and welcoming, combined with an awareness and respect for the privacy and quiet retreat space of their guests. The different bungalows I have stayed in have all the essentials required for comfort, while allowing the life and vibrancy of the jungle to flow through. Each...

I recently hosted my first yoga retreat for my business at the Tailwind Jungle Lodge. It was perfect! At first, I was nervous people would be shocked by the "jungle factor" but after settling into the natural rhythms around us, it became such a magical place! It offered us the chance to disconnect from our technology and to truly just...

I travel a lot ,sometimes to great hotels, small bed and breakfasts, cabanas at the beach, farmhouses in Italy. When I was young I camped in the cascadas of Chiapas, stayed in a small cabana visiting the monarch butterflies in Michoacan so in those occasions we payed cheap and knew the accommodation would be of austerity. But CLEAN My family...

This guest was clearly very disappointed in her stay with us and we are sorry to hear that. I don't believe that she expected to be in the jungle, nor did she read the information that we have on our website. We did our best to make her comfortable during her stay, however her expectations were unreasonable and beyond what...

A wonderful escape, very quiet with a scenic hike to an amazing secluded beach. Casa Pumita is an excellent choice - just the sounds of the sea and nature. Tamara was lovely and looked after us. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I would feel irresponsible if I chose to ignore their issues with bugs galore, including awakened by bed bugs all night. The owner seemed to be more concerned about us offending her neighbors, than concern for her guests. We felt deceived with her assurance that bugs were never a problem. The kitchen was crowded and a challenge to have more than...

We cannot guarantee that there will be no mosquitoes. The jungle goes through natural cycles and we generally have very few mosquitoes here, most of our guests agree! We do not have bed bugs. It seems that some people are more sensitive to bugs than others. We are sorry that the bugs were such a problem for this couple.

I bring groups of people to Mexico for a living and have stayed all over the country. That being said, I have NEVER stayed in a place as magical and friendly as the Tailwind Jungle Lodge. It was a beautiful chance to unplug, unwind and chill out in the jungle overlooking the ocean. I will definitely be back. Thanks Tamara!

The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is an eco-lodge, yoga retreat center and adventure travel company just north of San Pancho, Mexico. Our motto here is "enjoy life"! The blissful jungle, beach and ocean here make it easy to do just that. Our creative bungalows, casitas and palapas are perched amidst majestically swaying palm trees, giving the lodge a Swiss Family Robinson/treehouse type feel. Tailwind is perfect for the adventurous travelers who are looking for an active vacation (hiking, surfing, SUP, sea kayaking, yoga). Of course, we also understand if you'd prefer to simply lounge in the hammock! The jungle experience awaits! ... more   less
