Arrived during restrictions and there were good clear instructions and good safe practices in place. We booked premier lake view room for 1 night, and the views were stunning from our window and balcony. The hotel is set in an incredible location, so quiet and peaceful. The reception staff, the F&B staff are all excellent, smart and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel and we chose several dishes from the tapas menu. We've had many tapas dishes when in Spain and these dishes were up there with the Spanish. Lovely and tasty. The drinks are expensive like most restaurants, and after meal we sat next to the fire finishing our drinks. The room was large with a seating area, private en-suite, balcony and a comfy bed. The negatives were, room could be modernised a little, smaller table, do away with curtains, better colour scheme. The bacon for breakfast was really hard and tough to eat and a bit of waste from items we didn't want or order (croissant etc). Plenty of positives and we would stay there again.…
I visited with my husband and daughter, words cannot describe the amazing view from our room overlooking the lake. The staff were so friendly and went above and behond to help in any way, the food was delicious, breakfast, afternoon tea and the Tower Brasserie were all fantastic. Spa treatments are lovely! It is such a lovely building with so many lovely places to sit and admire the amazing views and so tranquil , I didnt want to come home and am already planning to come back soon. Thank you to all at Lake vyrnwy Hotel
we had a nice view but from a very drab and tired room. In the restaurant we ordered scallops as a starter and what arrived were 2 small ,not fresh scallops ,overcooked. In direct comparison with 2 other places we stayed on this trip where the scallop starters were, one, fresh, and two we had four on the plate , this was not a good start to our dinner. Additionally the white wine we ordered to go with it sinply didnt arrive, We mentioned this and they eventually arrived well after we had eaten our first course. I,m afraid the rest of the meal was little better. This hotel is VERY expensive when comparec to other hotels in wales. Captive audience in the local area springs to mind !!!
Booked a Cwtch break in November and had a lovely time. We were in a lake view room 1, and it was lovely, very comfortable with a great view of the lake. We were fortunate enough to have good weather when we arrived and the lake looked amazing. The service at dinner and breakfast was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxury break in a beautiful setting .
We had the most amazing stay at Lake Vyrnwy, excellent customer service, staff couldn’t do enough, beautiful bedroom with the most stunning view and excellent food. Felt very safe with all the covid regulations in place. Cannot wait to go back.
