    We started our week-long hike in Knighton. The George and Dragon is an easy walk from the train station, and also right down the street from the Offa's Dyke Center. We loved our room in the old stables, nicely converted and decorated, with half-timbered walls...More

    Stayed one Saturday night while walking Offa. Comfortable rooms (twin much larger than double) but noise from pub and outside continued to 1.00 a.m. Cooked breakfast was average, and the uncooked breakfast offering decidedly pre-packed.

    Centrally located in Knighton, the location was handy for the train station. The pub had a local crowd of regulars all afternoon. The outside biergarten was taken over by smokers, but the dining room was deserted at dinner time, so we decided to eat elsewhere....More

    Good location for Offa,s dyke as on the path. Accommodation is in converted building at back of pub. Thought it might be noisey but I was not disturbed in the night. Had everything needed for a short stay, clean sheets, plenty of hot water, kettle...More
