great character pub both building and punters.helpful and polite staff great food only spoilt by the red head chef who lost the plot and had a hissy fit outside throwing his toys out the pram. we found it entertaining and had a laugh about it . must go to place lol

A fun, friendly place with the novelty of a wood fired pizza oven outside on the terrace. Beware the demand for the good pizzas can make for long waiting times. A good mix of locals and visitors. Lots of old maritime photos on the walls.

After a day of castle hunting and hiking along the beach at St. Brides Bay and along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, I stopped here for a well deserved plate of Fish & Chips with a pint of beer. Great local pub with excellent food and beer ! And the people are first rate !

Well, what a mixed bunch of reviews. We stayed at the George for the final night of our backpack of the coast path. The George is what it is - a proper pub with great locals, a VERY surprisingly good menu, a woodfired pizza oven outside, a kind and friendly manager and Manny the chocolate lab certainly doesn't smell and...

We ate here twice during our recent holiday and received a warm welcome (even though we had 5 young children in tow!) and they were very helpful. There was a beer festival on while we were the and the beer was great! The food is nice with a good mix of hearty warming favourites and fresh local fish specials A...

We stayed for one evening on the 25th July. We booked room 1 a double room with toilet and shower with fab views out to sea and room 2 a twin room with toilet and bath a short walk across the corridor. We were welcomed to the pub and shown up to our rooms and to the sun terrace and...

Unfortunately I can't comment on the Chinese menu as we only tried the pub menu. We visited early on Saturday evening at which time there weren't many others dining. We ordered steaks which were overcooked, items from dishes were missing without explanation and we experienced a rude and dismissive attitude from the staff. Needless to say I wouldn't eat here...

This is very much a local pub, and little effort has been made to make it family friendly or appeal to tourists. I approve. The beer selection was modest, but what they had was delicious. When we were there, they were only serving Chinese food. I was a bit concerned, as of all the world's cuisines Chinese is the one...

We have just returned from spending New Year down in beautiful Solva. Although we have been to The George many many times I just wanted to tell everyone what a great pub this is. Friendly staff and locals alike. We are always made to feel very welcome. Special thanks to Barry and Mary.

£70 a night in August for a room with lovely views over Solva and the estuary wasn't too bad. Our hostess, despite late nights and early mornings, was always bubbly and happy and although the bar eating area could have been cleaner the breakfast was hearty and well cooked. The pub was very busy but closed on time and the...
