The Ty Hotel doesn't have the most scenic location, but is very convenient for Newport , the M4 and any events at the Celtic Manor, with which it is now associated. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful, the breakfasts good and the room fine. Unfortunately one of the lifts wasn't working while we were there and we had to wait for staff to use the one, which was working, first! We did however enjoy our stay at the Ty Hotel and are happy to recommend it.
No longer Hampton court tiy now. Cheap and fair quality stay. Nice bk included with gluten free bread and soya milk available. Bed is only double not king and a little firm. Tables in restaurants very low seem Kent for children! Overall very good value
This hotel is on a business park just off the M4 . It’s rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Breakfast is good with lots of choice and the staff are friendly. It’s not the place to stay if you want to go out for a walk but it’s convenient for both Cardiff and Newport and incredibly good value for money.
This hotel is very mediocre for the price. We went as it was linked to Celtic Manor but to be honest premier Inn has a better breakfast and is better value for money. Our daughter was on a pull out sofa bed which had bits of metal sticking out all over the place and a huge sag in the middle. The main bed was comfy however. Breakfast was like a bun fight! No where to sit, ended up perched at a bar, no clean cutlery out, food wasn't replenished and of poor quality. Staff seemed to hide in the kitchen and weren't around to help. Again a Premier Inn was much better. Safe to say we won't be returning. Coldra court (another more budget celtic manor hotel) was great but here needs some serious work to be linked at all to the Celtic Manor name!
Stayed for 1 night as a stop off. First room the bed was faulty, with v noisy springs in the mattress. Reported to reception who immediately moved us to an alternative room which was fine. Rooms ok size wize for 1 night stay and reception was helpfull in reserving a table at the american diner adjacent. Breakfast was good and plentifull, but being seated was a game of luck, with no staff on hand to allocate tables etc.
