We visited on a travelzoo deal and therefore didn't pay very much - therefore not bad value for money. A charming old building, nice room and some quirky features like the cinema club. It was absolutely dead though, the restaurant had all the atmosphere of a cemetery - I like peace and quiet but not to that extent. The food...

Spent New Years Eve at the Manorhaus and it was wonderful. The food was excellent and very well presented, could not fault it. Gavin & Chris were very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble for them, they had thought of everything to ensure we all enjoyed seeing in the new year. Would highly recommend the Manorhaus. We will certainly...

Stayed on a Wednesday evening. Booking in was easy, helped with bags & provided a free car park certificate for car park ~120 yards away. Room nice with large comfortable double bed and part of lsrge room annexed for a wet room. Was clean, shower great. Just seemed a tad odd as loo was next to shower & you'd walk...

I'll start this review by saying that we did complain at the time & were offered a small amount of money off our bill which we accepted, however, the more I think about how bad our overall experience was, the more I feel I want to share it on here. The place is certainly quirky..I found it cold (no fire...

Dear Karen - as discussed in our correspondence, we are sorry that there were some aspects of your stay that were exacerbated by our absence during our annual autumn break, (eg our manager had not lit the fire as it was un-seasonably warm, the restaurant background music wasn't working), and that our relief staff were not able to respond to...

We stayed here after being let down on a room by Hotels.com for the Castel Hotel .and I reckon we got the better deal ! We had a wonderful 3 day break , the room was beautifully designed and decorated , the bed was so comfy and had lovely crisp Egyptian cotton sheets , pillowslips and duvet covers. Gavin and...

We stayed at the Manorhaus with 2 of our children as looking to relocate to the area and had spent a long day house hunting. The guys made us welcome as soon as we arrived. Rooms were really clean and comfy and felt very homely. The Manorhaus has a private cinema and we were asked if we would like to...

Room was a good size, bathroom was small, NOTE you need to use a bath mat bath very slippy (found behind mirror in main bedroom). TV very small and old, DVD player in room and library full of DVDs to choose from. Coffee and tea making facilities but NO BISCUITS :( Gavin and Christopher friendly and lovely hosts. Breakfasts were...

Our stay here was very comfortable and relaxing in this most beautiful place. Gavin and Chris were extremely welcoming. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious each morning. On our final morning we had to leave early to catch an early morning boat and a packed breakfast was waiting for us at reception before we left. We would...

We stayed at the Manorhaus when we visited the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. We were made to feel very welcome. The bedroom was very well equipped with a very comfortable bed (I'm 6 foot 2. so I notice these things.) The breakfast was excellent with all local produce.
