The room was spot on and tidy with good services by the staff who did all hard work they have done. The food was fantastic and yummy with good drinks.

We were impressed with the fish and chips when we came here last summer. This time, although It looked good when it came to the table, the fish had a very thick coating. Last year it had a crispy batter and not a coating that was a third of its volume in size. Service was good and attentive.

We were caravanning at Llangollen and decided to drive over to Ruthin and take advantage of Rishi's 50% offer to have our first Wetherspoons meal since March, we had been too nervous since they opened again. We sat in their beer garden with tables well spaced out and ordered a selection of three small plates consisting of 10 spicy chicken wings with two dips, topped chips with bacon, cheese and sour cream and 6 breaded prawns with a dip which, without the offer, would have cost £10.75 for each of us. They were very filling and we enjoyed the meal but perhaps one set between us would have been sufficient and cut the calories down! I used the App for the first time to order.

Booked a 2 night stay here with inlaws via secret escapes website the deal was for 2 nights Bed and Breakfast with dinner on the first night and an afternoon cream tea included on the 2nd day for around 127 pounds per room . The rooms we had wernt the biggest but both had a great kingsize double bed a modern clean bathroom with freeview tv and tea coffee ironing facilitys pls a safe and plenty of storage space for clothes . The Staff were really friendly and efficient The meal we had in Berties the castle resturant was amazing and very reasonably priced . The castle also has a spar which we didnt use but looked very good and also a reall nice bar area with sevral lounges with fires scattered around it agin both bar and resturant staff really friendly and helpful ! We will definatly be visiting again ! The trick is dont book direct with the castle but use one of the booking sits like secret escapes or bookings or trivago as it normallyu works out cheaper the hotel is very busy at weekends and does medival Banquet weekends as well as musical events such as Grease and motown weekends . The castle hotel at moment is under new owners and are having some renovation done but this didnt interfere with the enjoyment and ambience of the place ! I will definatley be booking again
