After travelling from Dublin we did not want to face a long car journey. The ideal place to rest up was found. Nice friendly place with food and drink was found at The Valley. The staff were very friendly and offered advice on places to possibly travel to in Anglesey.

Great spot to stay and explore Angelsey, plenty of shops and a mile from Holyhead. Tredauer bay is walkable and there is an excellent cafe at Penrhos where you can walk the dog. Great chip shop on the high street, Enochs which is worth a visit. Very friendly people.

Lunch menu offers a good selection with several specials. Steak and ale pie tasty but not presented very good, a jumble of pastry and meat. Nice to have gravy served in a separate small jug. Overall good value for money in pleasant surroundings.

Been here half a dozen times and I like what I get for my money, A good location for where I have been and where I am going with a minimum of fuss on check in and check out. Respectful staff and good food, drink and accommodation is what I require and what I receive. So its all good for... More

It wasn't until well in to our stay that we realised that the Valley is a "Four in a Bed" Winner. Overall, we liked it - clean, comfortable, friendly with a generous breakfast - 3 rashers; 2 sausages; 2 poached eggs etc. In better weather, the large garden and terraced area looked inviting. Thought it was good value for money.

The family room was great. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed for a night away. A great variety to choose from for breakfast, ensuring we were able to feed a fussy child. The valley is relaxing with friendly staff, always willing to go that extra mile. It was lovely to sit outside and watch our child enjoying the great... More

Came here as we were in Anglesey with my boyfriend and our daughter on a track weekend.. booked this place as it was close to the track and seemed to have ok reviews, cheap night away and looked nice and clean and presentable. Thank you for taking your time to write your review. I am very disappointed that you did not stay with us for the evening you had booked and the room was not to your liking. I note that you booked the room through Booking.com. Their site clearly states that we are 'a family run traditional pub and inn' and there... More

A few minor pedantic pointers that would nudge up my review. Two knives at each setting for breakfast, one for your meal and one for your toast/cut the fresh fruit. Teaspoons not 'in' cups but laid on the saucers. Ketchup/brown sauce not brought out in paper/cardboard, 'McDonalds' like, disposable cups. The breakfast sausages were poor. All these things lead US... More

Thank you for taking your time to write your review. I am very disappointed that you did not enjoy the sausages at breakfast and that they were not to your liking. We use only local produce wherever we can but I'm afraid we are unable to meet with everyone's tastes. The sausages that we use have won many awards over... More

Welcome to Anglesey, welcome to The Valley. Ynys Môn, Mother of Wales, Môn Mam Cymru. The Valley is a family-run, traditional pub and inn that prides itself on providing a great value, authentic Anglesey experience. Our belief is simple: We are proud of our island and want you to experience its charms as much as we do. We believe that a quality experience with warm, attentive and friendly service doesn't have to break the bank. Our commitment to serving our local community is also part of our heritage. The Valley dates back to the 1800s, beginning as a traditional coaching house on the historic Holyhead to London route. Back then, The Valley played a key role in the community and that commitment is unwavering today. We're proud to welcome a diverse range of visitors every year. The Valley has everything you might need: cosy rooms, homemade cooking sourced from local suppliers, real ales, quality wines, log fires and hearty breakfasts. Plus one of the largest beer gardens on the island. So, whether you're looking for a family holiday, a weekend getaway, or if you're away on business and want a home from home, we will always go the extra mile to make sure you have a wonderful stay.
