We got a room at short notice after being let down by a guest house in Bangor. The hotel was well located on the shore opposite the Bangor pier. Stunning views over the Menai Strait . We had a family meal that night and the food was all superb. The staff were friendly and efficient. Nice little bar with a...

The gazelle. Chris is bongers that is what makes the Gazelle the only place to stay on Anglelsey. The rooms Make you want to' let go' of ploblems, because they are spotless clean and relaxing. The thing is with Chris is you can tell it 'how it is' after a few drinks and Chris loves the banter. Its Party time....

On a warm sunny spring evening you couldn't pick a much nicer place to sit outside and sip a pint! Absolutely breathtaking scenery provided by the menai strait. Good range of drinks, reasonably priced compared with the area, also cute little restaurant serving homely meals - not top notch cuisine but good enough for a bar meal at such a...

An Easter weekend break for me and my wife. The staff were very friendly, even coming across to our room to ask what we wanted for breakfast. The room is small, but was spotlessly clean. The bed's a bit small, but we're spoiled back at home with our aircraft-carrier bed. :) Really, nothing but praise for this little place. The...

Coming from the flatlands of Cambridgeshire. It made a lovely change to see beautiful hilly scenery. The room was very pleasant with lovely views and the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, from booking to departure the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I have been using the bar since the mid 70's mainly due to the location, the food and beer has improved lots since then. It's the second time I have stayed there and has improved again, it won't be the last

Three of us stayed at the gazelle for two nights in room 5 6 and 7 while we were attending a local jazz festival. The rooms were very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The welcome was very warm and the breakfasts were great. Chris was very humorous and a great host. All three of us would definitely...

My friend had booked a window seat and we weren't disappointed with the sublime view over the Menai Straits and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). The Gazelle has now become my friend's new local because of the delicious food, friendly and helpful service and of course the wonderful owner, Chris who made us feel very welcome. We shared a delicious...

Sadly we had to attend a funeral in Bangor and needed to stay overnight. We chose the Gazelle hotel and were glad that we had. Our family live on Anglesey side and the hotel was convenient both for crematorium across the bridge and our family. It is in a nice location overlooking the Menai Straits and we had room 11...
