The cleanliness and decor of the room were excellent. The breakfast was good and the restaurant meal and service were a high standard. Indeed we wish we'd eaten there for both nights of our stay. It might be useful to add some information about not having to 'pay and display ' in the car park on the website , as...

We stayed at The Anglesey Arms this weekend for two nights. We were there for the rugby on Saturday afternoon, and the lovely Cara from the bar even reserved two tables for us as we were meeting friends. Really friendly staff, we couldn't fault the room, it was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious too. I will...

We left our car and luggage in the car park and went looking for the reception desk, which we found right beside the extremely busy bar. We checked in, were given room keys, and told that our room was on the first floor. The person who checked us in then disappeared, back to bar duties I presume. So, we went...

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. The room had a modern look and was very comfortable, good sized bath with no shortage of hot water. The bar downstairs has a great atmosphere, and is clearly used by locals. The beer is fresh and well kept. The full Welsh breakfast was very good - and set me up for the...

Decided last minute to go out at lunchtime for a Bar meal with my wife on a rainy Saturday, as usual the service and welcome was fine and the bar area was not to busy. After ordering our food it eventually arrived 30 mins later, what a let down a rubbery burger and tasteless ham and cheese panini with boring...

Stopped for lunch on a rainy Saturday. Restaurant area was not overly busy & we were seated quickly by a friendly lady. Menu's are not huge with some delicious sounding options however as we were visiting at lunch I would have expected a lunch menu or more lighter options. The food we ordered was fresh and tasty as we're the...

Parking a little confusing because of meters but staff most understanding. Steak and ale pie pleasant but not exceptional mushy peas not the best side. Good to have a choice of cask ales by Lees. Decor pleasant and relaxing. Would return.

I stayed here for three nights while working in the area, from the moment I arrived I was made to feel most welcome. I ate in the bar on my first night and had a scrumptious meal followed by a couple of pints of local ale. My room was small but comfortable, warm yet a little dark. I slept very...

We stayed here for a weekend, and it was a choice between this and the uni campus one. Great room with a mezzanine bathroom. Breakfast was really nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful for tourism hints.
