This hotel is not one of the big chains and this shows in the personal touches around the place. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The hotel is situated on the main street running through Beaumaris. The car park which is accessed through narrow streets behind the hotel will hold eight cars but it is very tight. Owners of... Food was lovely, our room was relatively small though had everything we needed. Small car park at the rear of the hotel was useful. The owner obviously had lots of experience and had repeat clients, as she was very familiar with a number of the older guests

Free parking and location led us to choosing this hotel but the pluses just kept coming!! Our room was very large and our bed inviting. The chef at Bishopsgate is their biggest asset and that's saying something!! Choosing which course from this delicious menu was difficult! We wanted to try everything, not to mention ordering what we'd had the night... More

We had a short break at Bishopsgate. The attic room was fine - with sea views - and all the bits and pieces that one wants in the room. The meals were really tasty, however, a restaurant needs to be on top of food allergies. Each night of our stay there were at least two people who needed a gluten... More

My wife and I spent three nights in this delightful hotel at the end of June. We had a large bedroom with an equally large en suite bathroom. There was lots of storage space in the room, with a big wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food was excellent, so much so that we... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Bishopsgate. The hotel is rated as AA 2 star with a rosette for the restaurant. Despite initial misgivings we found the hotel very comfortable and the food interesting and well presented. The furnishings and fittings are traditional, but the bedding, toiletries and "tea tray" are high quality. A nice touch is... More

We spent two days over the weekend at the Bishopsgate, and enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel with a very fine restaurant. We slept well in the four poster bed in Room 10, and also enjoyed the view of the Menai strait from the window near the bed. We arrived at about 8.30, and enjoyed a pint in the... More

Stayed at the Bishopsgate last weekend with a group of friends. Once again the food was marvellous and the service really attentive. I was really impressed on the second night when my wife asked if she could have an alternative main course to what was on offer and this was accepted without hesitation. My steak was cooked to perfection. Full... More

My husband and went to the Bishopsgate House Hotel for an evening meal. The food was brilliant and the service exceptional. Highly recommended. A big plus for the Bishopsgate House Hotel is that it has it's own Car Park, which is very unusual in Beaumaris.

We booked one night last weekend, we hadn't stayed before but our usual hotel was full. We arrived when dinner service had just started so they were very busy but very polite and friendly. We had room 3 which is really pretty and has lovely views out to the Menai Straights down the little lane opposite. It was in the... More
