Stayed for two nights at August Bank Holiday with our two large golden retrievers. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable and allowed to eat both dinner and breakfast in the bar area with the dogs under the table. The bed was probably the most comfortable that we have ever slept in at a Hotel. The food both...

This hotel was a great little place to stay prior to us catching a ferry over to Dublin. Rooms were quaint, nicely decorated and spacial. Mostly clean, although a bit of mildew around bath/shower. Shower was nice and powerful. Bed was also comfortable. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare though - very tight to get in to car...

Lovely little hotel. The staff were wonderful and Hazel went to great lengths to make sure her guests were looked after well. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday night and although it was full, we were able to take our time with our meal which was, without a doubt, delicious.

We have just come back from a two night break at the Bishopsgate and had a great time. This hotel was very friendly and in a great location but the real outstanding part of the holiday at this hotel was the fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent and the chef very flexible. My brother in law is a cealiac (gluten...

Thank you for your lovely comments, it is always a pleasure to help people but very rewarding when it is appreciated. I am delighted you all enjoyed dinner at the Bishopsgate and glad you got to stay on our lovely Island after so many 'no room at the inn' comments.

On arriving at the hotel the lady on the reception greeted us by saying the room was a small double and that my husband wasn't a small man! ( with no humour ) Their was trouble with the water being brown which she said was ok to shower but not drink, explaining that bottled water would be in our room...it wasn't....

We had two vegetarian meals in this hotel which were really superb. On the first night we had a pasta from their menu, think it might be the best one I've ever had. They then said they would cook whatever we desired for our second meal. We had a wonderful vegetable curry. The staff were cheerful and helpful. My husband asked...

The service, quality of food and sheer expertise experienced was incredible. They catered for 75 persons at an outside event and everything was simply perfect. The standard in their own restaurant must be high indeed.

We stumbled upon this hotel as a last minute option, without viewing the website or reviews. I have to say it was one of the best impromptu hotel stays we've had. Such a warm, welcoming reception. With the aroma of delicious skill-fully cooked food. The rooms are decorated in keeping in Georgian style, they are spacious and have everything you...
