Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We always visit for a drink when in Anglesey. 5 times this year. Only few minutes drive from our caravan park. The view is amazing though we are still to see wildlife. We always enjoy a Pinot Grigio & Moretti. The staff are always friendly. Will be back in March .

We have been to this warm, friendly hotel several times now. We even have our favourite room (1) !!. Jill and James make everyone feel so welcome that its like coming home every time! The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfy. As for the rest of the experience, the breakfast is superb everytime! The food in the restaurant is excellent with a great, varied choice and a well stocked bar too. All of the staff are friendly, warm and welcoming with excellent manners. Thankyou to all of you and will be returning soon!

Responding to the unfair review Michael M. who gave this hotel a 3 saying the food was inedible. I don't know what his problem is, obviously used only used to McD's and pot noodles, we've been here for 4 nights, we've eaten in the restaurant twice, the food is top quality and cooked perfectly.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful but apart from the breakfast the food is inedible. Do not eat at the restaurant, you may as well eat dog food, i think it would taste better. Other than that, the hotel is very nice and good value.

Quirky, quaint, welcoming and cosy. Booked 2 rooms for one night. Welcoming staff, nice rooms with plenty of towels, toiletries and coffee! En suites seemed to be nice and new with a nice hot shower. Rooms were clean and tidy. Ate in the restaurant (with a cracking view of the sea) - the garlic mushrooms and gammon were great. Ordered breakfast the previous evening to prevent wastage, it was ready as promised the following morning and very nice. Cereals, fruits, water and juices are available before your order (ours were great full English) arrives along with plenty of tea or coffee. Nice lounge area and large free private car park right outside. Recommended.

We booked to stay at the Trecastell Hotel as a group of six lady golfers. We were all impressed with the location and the warmth of welcome from all the staff we met. The rooms were clean, bright and well appointed, the beds were extremely comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay. We ate in the hotel each night and we were all delighted with our choices. The views from the bedrooms and the conservatory where we ate our evening meal were spectacular. The owners made us feel at home and we look forward to a return visit next year. For fellow golfers, the hotel is a stone's throw from Bull Bay Golf Club and the other Anglesey Golf Clubs are within easy reach.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and it's a wonderful family run hotel. The staff are friendly, the food is great (There's a great choice for breakfast) The main restaurant was busy which is a great sign, plus the evening meal I had was fabulous. The bar has a good selection of drinks with plenty of seating outside to take in the view - straight over the bay. Oh, and it's all nice and clean with little touches like fresh flowers in the lobby. If you enjoy walking it's perfectly situated for some great coastal walks. I'd certainly return again - thanks folks!

Lovely, relaxing break at this hotel. Room 3 was extremely comfortable with the best sea view ever. Fantastic breakfast and also dined here in the evening for our 3 nights, each meal was beautiful, plentiful and excellent quality ingredients. The staff were incredible..... welcoming, friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble, special shout out to Megan. I would highly recommend this hotel and am sure will return in the future. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

I am nearing the end of 10 days in this wonderful hotel on a long work trip. What an absolute pleasure it has been. The staff are fantastic ( Kayleigh, Becky, Matt, Angie, Luke, Megan, Rhys ) and have made me feel like a part of the family. Gill and James the owners have gone out of their way to make me feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble. The views from my room and the restaurant are surely some of the best in the UK. Despite a freezer catastrophe before I got here, the food was great and good value (I'm really looking forward to my final 2 nights with the full menu). Breakfast is just right. Good coffee, great eggs and (when I had it) - perfect fried bread. They even accommodated me having to rush off by getting my food out quickly each morning. The bed was really comfortable and although the shower could have been a little bit more powerful, what is that when compared to feeling utterly at home for the length of your stay? I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. My wife came up for the week-end in the middle of my stay, and we walked along the coastal path in both directions ( 3 minutes from the hotel). It is absolutely stunning - you really can't imagine anywhere better if you like walking. You often say that you will return to a good hotel, and seldom do. This one will be different though. We will definitely be back. One of the very best. Thanks so much to all of you.

Lovely old hotel located right on the sea front - very handy for coast path walking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was great it having a bar and restaurant so we didn't have to go too far after a long day's walking!
