Excellent 2 course lunch, food was amazing. Service was 1st class. Remember to ask for your free entry tickets (save £11 per adult) to the Portmeirion village for your party when paying your lunch bill. Offer only applies when having 2 courses from the menu.
In summary, the room, the building and the surroundings are all stunning
The room is very large, with large bed (though mattress was a bit hard for my liking and so were the pillows), large bathroom with shower and bath, with small kitchen area with...More
Had lunch. The menu gave a reasonable choice. If you have two courses then there is free entry to Portmeirion. It is not necessarily good value for money however so be careful. Having said that the surroundings were stunning and the food was well cooked...More
the setting is impressive, a mock castle which was recently renovated with a lovely Garden.
We chose to have a drink on the terrace sitting in large white outdoor settees and chairs. They went through the performance of handing us our menus to peruse whilst...More

Our award winning brasserie prides itself on exceptional service and fantastic Welsh fare. Whilst lamb is usually cooked pink unless otherwise requested, the other anomalies are currently being investigated. Thank you for your feedback.
We stumbled across Castle Deudraeth whilst touring Wales. Absolutely beautiful setting in a beautiful Victorian castle like mansion just a short walk from Portmeirion village centre. Nice garden views
from the stylish brasserie, where sat in the sun and enjoyed a light lunch of scones...More

Hi Catherine. We stayed in room 2 on the second floor which was a large open plan room that had a king size bed, had a cot/crib at the end of our bed and also a single bed for our 6 year old. With all this there was also a couch in the room. That gives you an idea of how spacious the open plan is.
We also had one night in the one bedroom room on a higher floor which was ok the crib and king size bed were in one room and then the single bed was a sofa bed in the lounge/TV room.
Personally I preferred the open plan room.
I hope this helps.

Hi Andrew, great to hear from you. Really sorry to advise that we are only able to welcome Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs into the visitor attraction area of Portmeirion. It is a very small area where many children are able to roam around freely, roll around on lawns and splash in paddling pools. Also we have 50 cottages which form part of the hotel and tranquillity is a high priority. There are many rare species of birds and forest floor animals in the surrounding woodlands that have to be protected and surrounding Portmeirion we have 70 acres of grazing land mainly used for sheep. While none of this would be incompatible with responsibly controlled dogs we have sadly found that even a small minority of people who have no interest or regard for others or for their surroundings have forced us to uphold our Guide Dogs Only policy. Please accept my apologies on behalf of Portmeirion for this disappointment and any inconvenience thus caused.
