Stayed in this interesting restaurant / B&B over new year. The breakfast was compiled of high quality products, you won't be disappointed. Not sure of the waitresses names but the young lady who served us on new years day was a like a ray of light, she needs a pay rise! Especially so as we were a little tender from...

It is such a shame that this B&B was so unacceptable, as the staff were polite and nice. Firstly, the hotel reception is the bar in the restaurant, thankfully we packed light but had to clamber through the restaurant to reach the tiny door leading upstairs to our pokey room. On entry, the room was average sized and stank of...

We always pay a visit to the lovely town of Monmouth every November to mark my father's passing, and this year we thought that it would be nice to stay over and relax a bit and soak up a bit of Christmas atmosphere. We had eaten at #7 Church street the previous year and noted that it did rooms. So,...

We stayed at Prego three years ago and gave it a very good review. However this time was very different. We were there for 6 nights and our room was not once cleaned, the bed not made, the waste bin not emptied, cups not replaced, and teabags and milk not replaced. Being renamed 7 Church Street the service has deteriated...

New owners since my last visit and still a good standard. Nice warm comfortable room. Handy for the interesting town and ideal for hikers in the region. The welsh cooked breakfast is a delight , made from quality ingredients and cooked beautifully. I also had an evening meal which was gourmet standard at more modest prices that is usual. Fully...

We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Friday. The service was good. Our waitress was Clair. It's a modern and clean looking eatery. The food was tasty. Mine was served on a slate a bit old hat and which I don't particularly like. A white porcelain plate would a better. The only reason I didn't give this a...

stayed one night to go to a show at the local theatre. The room was basic but clean, good for the price, if being picky one would say requires more attention to decorating.Bed was clean and comfy, all in all ok

Needed a seat and a hot drink after a long walk. The man who served us made it very clear that he was tired and didn't really want to. He said it would take about 10 mins to make 4 our drinks, and sighed as he said it. If it was busy, we'd understand it but there appeared to only...

Stayed 2 nights 2-3 October. Very good value and service. Noted some reviews criticised rooms but if picky you could say some need of decorative improvement, I can only say bed and room comfortable. Service friendly and attentive. I could not fault and in in view of good rate quoted, would have no hesitation in returning. Thanks to all staff.
