We had a very warm welcome from Richard who helped us with our bags when we arrived early, made us a cup of tea and set up his ipad showing the Test match as we waited for our room to be ready. The room was pleasant, well equipped and clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and... More

Owners, managers and teams in bigger or smaller hotels, B&B and other places to stay are always nice and kind. But sometimes it's no problem to see that their kindness isn't real but imposed. But not here, not in Wales. If you want to experience the REAL hospitality - visit and stay in The The Coach House in Monmouth. First... More

We were looking for a nights accommodation in Monmouth so we could attend a wedding party. The room rate was good value for B & B. On arrival Richard met us and made us very welcome sorting out parking charge at the public pay and display after helping us carry bags to room and explaining a few things. Breakfast the... More

We were met by Richard in Monmouth High Street, who guided us to a nearby parking bay. Richard then carried our bags to our room, and gave us a review of the property. Our room was excellent, and exceeded our expectations, bearing in mind the very reasonable nightly charge for B&B. Richard also provided good suggestions on where to eat,... More

Great location, in the middle of Monmouth. Was a little worried about parking, but Richard the owner, organised a spot near to the B and B and even carried our overnight bag to the hotel. Good sized bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower. Good recommendations given from Richard about various restaurants. I am vegan and my husband is vegetarian... More

Lovely little B&B which we booked at the last minute on a trip to Pontypool. Excellent value for money, room did the job with everything we needed including a hairdryer, great shower and a very comfy bed. The breakfast was everything we wanted and yummy. Perhaps it needs to be mentioned that to access the rooms you need to go... More

While walking Offa's Dyke this was our 3rd nights accommodation. Richard kindly met us from our walk and made us feel very welcome. He offered tips on where to eat and was also the only host to advise us of the muster station in case of fire. The room was clean and the sheets crisp. I felt very at ease... More

Great little place to stay, right in the centre of Monmouth. Richard was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom had a really good shower, there was tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc, a hairdryer, a TV and plenty of wardrobe space. Our room was at the front of the property so... More

Really nice welcome from Richard who explained everything about the room. We managed to find free parking down at the bottom just after the police station. Rooms are well kept and the breakfast was lovely. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Very nice town will visit again.

Lovely welcome and a very nice and clean characterful room with enormous ensuit. The half English breakfast was big enough and very tasty but the full English kept my husband going all day. Very homely and relaxing and great hosts nothing too much trouble thanks from janice and keith
