Val is a lovely host and made my daughter and me feel very welcome after a long day's walk. Really enjoyed a hot soak in the bath and a very comfortable night's rest. Lots of useful information about the walk ahead and stocked us up with a great packed lunch.

We were so impressed with Val and Old Hendre Farm. She was friendly, hospitable and extremely organised and made sure we had a wonderful cooked breakfast every morning. Even though we arrived late in the evening, Val was so accommodating. The rooms and ensuite bathrooms were extremely clean with morning teas and coffees. Over breakfast, Val gave us a condensed...

Two Canadian gals went on a great hiking trip with Celtic Holidays in Sept 2016. The Hendre Farm was our favorite accomodation of a total trip of 3 weeks. I had an upset stomach in Mommothshire and we arrived early by taxi so I could avoid the afternoon walk that day. Val came out as soon as she heard the...

We enjoyed this very comfortable, hospitable B &B in a beautiful rural location. Our room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. We had the use of a large sitting room and Valerie was extremely accommodating and made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts were delicious. We would recommend staying here for a “feel at home” experience.

Stayed for the night whilst attending wedding nearby. Val was extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely house in fantastic quiet location overlooking open countryside. Room and en suite were large and airy and lovely and clean and breakfast was amazing. Wouldnt hesitate to go back if in the area and would thoroughly recommend to anyone to stay there.

We were looked after so well during our stay and enjoyed a home cooked dinner and very comfortable and cosy surroundings. We set off the next day on the third leg of...

Only problem with this delightful accommodation is that it is not easy to find, but when you do find it it is gorgeous! Val is a wonderful hostess and an excellent cook, the rooms are extremely comfortable, the rottweiler is delilghtfully friendly and the views are marvellous. I think I am running out of superlatives, but it really is a...

We visited Monmouth intending to go to a concert which was cancelled last minute. Our host Valerie could not be any more helpful and phoned a local pub to arrange and book for us to go for a meal. Her bed and breakfast is in a beautiful location and she welcomes her guests in such a lovely way that you...

We visited Hendrie farm during our 177 mile Offas Dyke walk. After a days walking it's always nice to feel welcome and looked after and Valerie the owner certainly didn't disappoint with welcome tea and cake, then a lovely home cooked meal with beer and wine. Our room was very clean, spacious with an amazing view.
