I'm reviewing the hotel service primarily although they also have a pub/restaurant which I didn't use on this occasion. I've stayed once before- coincidentally in the same room. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable although a bit on the warm side, but the window opened easily. I'd prefer too warm than too cold! Tea/coffee...

Everything was OK, the beer (Rev James) was good, right temperature, right glasses. The food was OK, we had tapas, they were not very generous, not very hot but served attractively. The merlot was good and the glasses were clean. Something about it just didn't appeal, I got the impression that it may have changed hands, there didn't seem to...

Visited with an elderly lady in a wheel chair main entrance had two steps which made it impossible to get in. Undaunted I went inside and asked at the bar did they have an entrance suitable for wheelchair access. Very helpful man said to come to side entrance and he would let us in. Plenty of room in the lounge...

Easy parking close by and great breakfast! Only reason didn't get a 5 star was the windows in the room! You could hear a lot of noise outside both nights we stayed! The beds were very comfortable though!

So it's a nice pub, relaxing seating and a good tapas collection on top of the usual burger and pasta fare to be found everywhere. Rev James on tap. Nice ambience, especially compared with the frenetic Witherspoon opposite

We called in on a cold miserable December day for lunch. The pub is lovely but the fire was not lit. It was quite busy and we were told by an unsmiling barman that there was a 45 minute wait for food. We thought this was a little excessive but we sat and had coffee while we waited. When the...
