Olwen couldn't do enough for us. From advice about the area, to her exceptional breakfasts. A very kind person and very attentive to her guests - pays a lot of attention to every little detail. We will definitely return.

Olwen takes meticulous care to ensure that the room and breakfast are of the highest quality. This is a first rate bed and breakfast by all standards. She is an engaging hostess who has a wealth of information about the surrounding area and local hikes. And at the foot of Cader Idris, the setting for the home in unequalled. There...

There is not one criticism to be made regarding our stay here. No wonder the entrance hall wall is covered with awards. This B&B is situated in a beautiful area, our room was superb, the breakfast enormous with masses to choose from. What more can I say, if you like stunning views and peace and quiet - stay here.

The views, the location, the homemade food, the rooms, Olwen's hospitality, her advice on local places - everything was so so perfect! I am not sure how Olwen does it so perfectly. It is a very good spot to start the hike to Cadair Idris as well. Breakfast is out of the world! A little word of advice to future...

An absolute gem, situated right below Cadair Idris with huge beautifully presented bedrooms in a converted barn. Breakfast was enormous and included fresh fruit, home made preserves and a different cooked meal each day. Olwen was extremely welcoming and happy to advise on local restaurants and pubs.

We have lost count how many times we have been back to Tyddyn Mawr. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings (If you like mountains and sheep!). Olwen is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large and comfortable with stunning views and the food is first class. Highly recommended barely does it justice. Definitely...

We spent one night here, having booked on a whim at the last minute. We couldn't have made a better choice. Tyddyn Mawr is a wonderful old farmhouse, with lots of old beams and an inglenook fireplace in the breakfast room. Our bedroom was beautiful, with a super half tester bed. The site, close to the foot of Cader Idris,...

No wonder Olwen Evans won so many awards. We spent three nights at Tyddn Mawr in June and this B & B is really absolutely gorgeous! A wonderful room with an exceptional view to Cadar Idris, an incredible breakfast – absolutely outstanding and everyday different if you like to – and last, but not least a host who is so...

Great Welsh getaway. Wonderful views from the spacious room. Brilliant breakfast. Olwen was very helpful in picking out restaurants and things to do during the day. We went for a bike ride the next day and the scenery is beautiful. I would definately recommend this place.
