We usually stay with family in Mold but due to a large family gathering we stayed at Wych Elm. We occupied both rooms which were spacious and comfortable. The room down stairs had underfloor heating which was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, with Martin and Gillian being the perfect hosts. Im a vegetarian and it was a nice surprise...

Martin and Gillian are a lovely couple and were wonderful hosts during our 3 night stay at Wych Elm. There were 3 of us in our party and we occupied both rooms which were clean, spacious and had marvellous en suite bathrooms. The breakfasts were excellent and what with Martin's homemade bread, Gillian's homemade rhubarb and ginger jam and the...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this gem of a B&B! I decided to travel by train for a course in Mold. Martin very kindly collected me from the station and even called in Tesco so that I could get some food for other meals. I chose the twin room for it's superb views. Simply gorgeous. It was...

My husband and I recently enjoyed a short break at Wych Elm. This is an excellent B&B in a beautiful and much overlooked part of Wales. We were made to feel very welcome by Martin and Gillian and felt relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. We found their local knowledge useful, and Martin leant us a map to assist our...

I recently had to attend a Driving Course at the Beaufort Hotel near Mold following an accident in the summer. I didn't want the long drive there first thing in the morning, so I stayed at Wych Em B&B the night before which is near the Beaufort Hotel. Wych Elm is in a beautiful setting looking right across to Moel...

I normally stay with family when in this area, but there wasn't room this time. Luckily I found Martin and Gillian's B&B less than 10 minutes walk away. Its a lovely house, with a stunning view of Moel Fammau, and they are a lovely couple. Martin bakes his own bread; there's a Siamese cat to admire; its peaceful and quiet,...

Stunning woodland garden containing a house with lots of connections with wood. The host is a craftsman in wood and makes some amazing pieces of furniture. I stayed for 2 nights while walking in the area and the hosts were very helpful, both being walkers themselves. They were able to offer lots of advice, help with maps and boot-drying. and...
