We really fell in love with this place. We have a tent and being September the site was fairly quiet so we had the second field all to ourselves. Surrounded by rolling hills, the facilities are in an old farm building which was charming. We ate at the Grouse pub which is a short walk over the river - the homecooked food was really good and we were able to dine outside which overlooks the river. The steam railways station across the road is very pretty and worth a visit also. We will definitely return!

We stayed here as part of the canoe Club and it’s a really nice place to stay. There are enough stuff local nice walks and the grouse inn pub with 10 Mins walk. The showers was excellent and powerful. The train is next to the campsite we had a good time.

This is a lovely site although fairly basic .facilities are clean and the couple who run it are very friendly and very obligingly. The scenery around the site is amazing.great for walking holidays.we walked to llangollen (about 10 miles)through the back lanes and got the steam train back brilliant!

We stay here yearly for a classic car rally (Citroen 2cvs). It’s a good site with plenty of space and good facilities. If you are on the big field you cross the road for the showers and main ablution block, there’s a small toilet cabin at the top of the field with washing up facilities. Great location too.
